This video deserves faaaar more views than it has now!
Great work. Great testimony to a great story. Tolkien would be proud.
I don't know how to find the words that describe how much I love your video and editing style. The music editing in this, is literally stupendous. I don't know how you paired up everything so well. I love it!
Oh wow thank you very much!
Wow - martialisch - beeindruckend - tolle Handwerkskunst - weiter so … 👍💪👏
Awesome build!! God bless- IZ
Great build. Just a few notable differences, all the blades from LOTR and Hobbit by Peter Lyon are hollow ground and the inscription on the blade matches the hilt, raised and not etched.
Thank you!
Yes I know about the hollow grinds, but I don't have the equipemnt to make or finish them on the belt grinder. Also the etching process would have been a lot more difficult that way.
With the inscriptions I was actually very sure but I just checked it and you are absolutley right! I think this is mainly due to the overwhelming amount of pictures from the united cutlery replicas that changed that detail.
While we are already at it, you actually missed one mistake I made. The guard is supposed to have a C2 turning axis vertically through it, but I used a faulty stencil so one side is actually a little bit bigger and has the etching on front and back. I realized that only right before etching and I didn't want to do it all over.
This is great! I would like to make a sword aswell but I lack some equipment right now. Do you think I could do the grinding part with an angle grinder and have a similar result.
Thank you!
No, that won't work at all. I mean you can remove material but you can't establish a straigjt ridgeline or flat bevels.
Man would you sell the Cricut files? I was planning. To forge stung myself this winter.
If you contact me via Mail I can just send the high res black an white pictures to you for free. You can just use that to make the cricut files yourself very quickly.
PS: Is there a way to send cricut files? I tried it once but I didn't find it.
