Such an authentic, consistent, rare display of true love and mutual adoration between two people that personally I've never, ever had the pleasure to experience in this lifetime, and doubt I ever will, BECAUSE it's so rare to see that. So happy for you two, to have found each other that it almost brings me to tears sometimes. Thx for sharing.

The old man is back. Now you're really taking me back to a very special time. Great to see them in the early years again. Pink Floyd got its name from two old southern bluesmen; Pink Anderson and Floyd Council. First time I saw them was in 1969. I was 21 years old and deeply into the whole psychedelic genre of music. I've seen them 5 times since. What can one say that hasn't already been said about this amazing band... and the multitude of great songs they've performed. David Gilmore became one of my all time favorite guitarists. He proved you don't have to be a shredder to be considered great. Is he the best I've ever seen? No... but I've never seen anyone better (there is no "best"). Glad I found you guys. If you haven't already seen their live performance of "Comfortably Numb" from the 1994 PULSE Tour then it's a must. Visually stunning, and David Gilmores guitar solo is considered by most (this old dude included) as one of the greatest ever. Here's a link if interested czcams.com/video/vi7cuAjArRs/video.html

I am so glad I had a friend who introduced me to real music. Pink Floyd is his favorite band. He would make me put on headphones and listen to Meddle, Wish You Were Here, Dark Side of the Moon, even albums like Umma Gumma. I wouldn't have gone the direction I did if it wasn't for that. I had a brand new appreciation for musicianship.

@@Kel.N.RichReactions Correction: in an earlier comment I said I bought my first record in 1958... actually it was 1955. I was 7 years old. My generation has the advantage of being born before Rock & Roll, thereby letting us experience music and all its various styles and changes throughout the years. I've seen a great majority of the greats. Concerts were affordable in my day. We spent a great deal of time at Fillmore West in San Francisco. Example: went to see The Who, but before they played Bill Graham came out on stage to introduce the opening act, a band we'd never heard of called Santana. Cost of the ticket was $5.50. We, meaning us old dudes, have a better understanding of who and what influenced what and who. We've heard it all...most of todays generation have no idea, which is sad.... and now I'm going to sound like an old fart... our music was better than most of what corporate radio plays today. I have a ton of suggestions which I'll pass on from time to time if interested

So GOOD! Both studio and this live version of Echoes are awesome. This song is so primal. These guys performed with excellence. The thought just ran through my mind going back to the seventies and as much as we knew and loved how awesome the music was at the moment, I think we were naive to think this level of music wouldn't end. I'm into American Muscle Car's from mid 60's to early 70's too, and just like the music from that era we didn't realize how fortunate we were to have them at the moment in our young lives. Fast forward to today, that reality is so clear to see now. This song Echoes brings forth so many thoughts or memories when you listen to it as your drifting through your mind.

Speaking of David Gilmour, he came back to Pompeii in 2016 with his backing band playing for live audience at the same coliseum that he & his mates from Pink Floyd recorded Echoes Parts 1&2 in 1973. Besides 1973, it is actual 1st time history of Pompeii having audience in the coliseum since 79AD. Videos of his 2016's Pompeii's concert are on CZcams.

Pretty standard; 5 songs on one side. Then Side B: Echoes (23.31).. WTF? a whole song on one side of the album? I always listened to albums in order, so I could not wait to get through Side A to see what made it worth filling Side B with a 23 minute song. "One of These Days" blew me away btw. After that, I never regretted listening to that album and the second side over and over.

The most important album and song of their career. "Meddle" is the gateway album needed to arrive at "Dark Side of the Moon" and "Echoes' cemented that Pink Floyd sound! This version will never, EVER be matched.

Echoes is the beginning of post Syd Pink Floyd. It is where the band got their footing for DSotM. You can sense Roger Waters' lyrical talent in this song : "Strangers passing in the street. By chance two separate glances and I am you and what I see is me". Plus, the seagull effects created with D. Gilmour's guitar and wind with R. Waters' bass. Genius.

French film director: "Pink Floyd, i want to film you Live, at Pompeii!" Band members: "What man , are you trippin'? Nobody lives there." Director: "Yes... Exactly!" The Floyd: "Yes, cool man."

You have got to play Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd. It stayed on the Billboard Top 200 for 14 years! That will never happen again!
