  • I got 4 university degrees by the age of 24: law, economics, business, sociology.
    In this video I rank them from most USEFUL to most USELESS. I don't have any regrets but hope that my learnings help you choose a degree, decide whether or not you want to go to university, or how academic experience will help you in reaching your goals.

    The thing about economics is you need to be taking the hardest, “mathier” course offerings. Econometric modeling is what is practical. As a data scientist, I’d say it’s better to get a degree in economics than data or comp sci

    • @josephbrennan370

      Interesting. I am interested in entering the data science field. I have applied for an economics degree in the UK but have considered switching this to computer science when I get to university. I have been learning more coding on the side but I am concerned that economics isn't strong enough as a degree for data science. Although one thing I like about the field is that it is quite rigid and that many people from different degrees can be successful in the field, as it is still developing.

    What kind of university allows you to take a full degree by distance? Well my ukranian roommate was in china attending an 1 year language course and she obtained her degree in asian studies (?) without attenting any course of last year. She said her mother already had taken care of it o.O and her university just told she didn't have to attend the final exams but at least be in Ukraine when exams were taking place. Well, she didn't and she still got her diploma. Quite amazing.

    I'm very interested in Technology/Engineering, so I study electrical engineering and information technology. I would say that I'm good at this, but I have some problems with speaking in public. It's not that I'm shy, I definitely can speak to every stranger I want, I'm very spontaneous, but that I rather sometimes can't form a correct sentence, or can't keep the flow.
    Funny thing is that it's the same when I'm recording a voice message. Maybe I should do it more often. That's the only thing I'm shy about you could say except recording myself while speaking.
    Has anyone some tips how to improve my speaking?

      I think in Ukraine they only have 11 years of mandatory school and then can go directly to school so they can actually finish at the age of 16. Maybe he skipped one year and finished earlier.
      He took a full bachelor degree by distance (I don't know many universities who allow such thing) but had a ukranian roommate who was in China attenting a 1 year chinese language course and she basically didn't attend any course of her last year, didn't attend the exams and still obtained her diploma. Well not many people in Ukraine have financial possibilities to make to UK and study there, so this guy is obviously privileged class. The full degree by degree in that Ukrainian was just paid, even people with less resources can pay to skip one year and just obtain the diploma, his discription of the economics degree was also weird like a lot of general theory input. I have a degree in management (business administration) and had 2 courses of economics and they were basically maths and graphs which we had to know to validate theories.

      Start early do alot CLEP exams credit by exams and get your entire 1st and 2nd year done with in a few months. Do alot of summer and winter classes stack your classes with 16 - 18 hours per semester and you can finish in 1 year and a half. That's what I did.
      When I went to college I already had 12 credits from doing dual credit and 30 hrs from CLEP exams, and then I took summer class before starting in the fall this made me graduate in 1 year a half. By the time I was in fall semester of my first year of college I was doing my 3rd year in college already. Then I did 1 class in wintermester and 3 class during summer and took 6 classes during fall and spring, I graduated with a bachelor's in computer science at 18 and am going getting 2 masters in AI and robotics in 2 years I'm working on both of them at the same time. Tbh it's all about time management and working ahead following the syllabus.

    • @Sarablueunicorn
      @Sarablueunicorn Před 2 lety

      @@Sora_Nai My country doesn't actually give you the options of being ahead. You need to conclude the 12 years of mandatory education and then take national exams to enter a university and chosen degree. I had management and couldn't choose my courses or in which semester they took place, those were fixed. And we definitely couldn't take a full degree by distance, while we had some courses who you could just skip classes and go straight to a 3 hours way more difficult national exam, other courses required 75% of attendance and no final exam option, it was continous evaluation and if you failed you couldnt take the course the next semester, you would have to wait for next year. You could only leave 4 courses behind (around 24 ECTs) if you failed for you couldn't take any more courses before having those concluded. So you could have a maximum of 14 courses in one year or just 5 (almost all courses had same ECTs value).

He also did it in 5 but he frames it as if he did it incredibly fast/simultaneously. Then to accompany that his videos on Tik Tok are all nonsense that he either makes up or uses awful research for.
