  • Julia Allyn started college at Colgate University feeling exhausted and in pain. What initially became a Lyme Disease diagnosis soon spiraled into more complications, leading to a rarer, and more destructive tick-borne disease.

I don't think you mentioned the diagnosis by name or the treatment, not very helpful.

Just went to my 3rd doctor yesterday. Passed all the tests they ran. Mentioned lyme disease because I used to me a ADVID outdoors man till abt a year ago....when i got into a mess of tick out on a hike. The lyme disease comment was shrugged off immediately. But for the past year my heath is declined severely. Of course same symptoms as her. Thank god a doctor took her seriously. I'm still looking for a doc like that. Super frustrating.

don't listen to that idiot dr ; go to lab test online or other online labs and buy yourself all the tests you want , go to labcorp or local labs listed and get your blood drawn . Find out for yourself ; drs are stupid and oblivious about dangers of ticks.

Same situation, traveled cross country, got infested with ticks in my r.v. And my dogs were diagnosed with anaplasmosis, were treated and when I went got nothing but negative. Finally got some doxycycline and hope it will help deal with symptoms. Don’t give up, there are doctors on the east coast that can help.

IGeniX Labs has a 91% success rate in diagnosing all forms of Lyme. Lyme literate doctors say to avoid Lab Corps and Quest Labs for Lyme testing as they only have a 52% success rate. I just tested positive for a band of ehrlichiosis. I need to have more testing done now since I finally just this year found a pic online of what bit me. A Nymph 3-6 days old which infected me with Anaplasmosis (no bullseye rash ever). I've had some treatment but now am having difficulty finding help in the area I live and the medication my previous doctor used (disulfurim) does not work for ehrlichiosis.

I remember when I had psychological side effects from an antibiotic and my doctor didn't believe me and exhibited extreme frustration bordering on anger that I wanted to stop treatment because of it.

OMG!! I have almost the same symptoms since the summer of 2016 and no one can figure out what it is. I have even been to two specialist at the Cleveland clinic (Allergist and Infectious disease doctor). Syracuse I have been to Infectious disease doctor and Rheumatoid doctor and even a dermatologist in Utica and NO ONE has an answer for me. Ever so often it happens, severe headache is how it starts and fever up to 104, facial swelling and ears, and chills like no tomorrow. I have no answers and I have been telling my doctors it is a tick virus but they deny it as I have seen the infectious disease doctors. This is hopeful. It last 4 days - sound familiar. I am 60 now and I have pictures of myself when it happens. And I should add that when this happens to me all I want to do is sleep. One time I slept for 19 hours.

it's not just indiana ; here in sw va ; they are tiny nymph ticks and they are getting on people easily and often ; I saw a small engine cessna plane flying low and dipping and doing crazy low flying over our wooded area a week or so ago ; black and white checkerboard MASONIC symbolism on the bottom of wings ; I BELIEVE THEY ARE DROPPING millions of NYMPH TICKS deliberately on the population now ! BE /carefUL ; check for Ticks every day when outside . These evil people are DESPERATE ; covid is not doing the job ; everything is on the table now .

i would get some doxycycline ( antibiotic they prescribe for tick bites) ; even if you have to buy the fish antibiotic version. take 10 days of that and see if you get some relief . there are also over the counter herbs for borellia available ; doctor yourself ; alot of docs are stupid and of no help .
