I'm a convert, so I was frustrated trying to manage Islam and how to make profit of Ramadan. I blocked him and told him to stop being friends, because I felt he wasn't caring for me. Good for you. I'm also learning that cutting off my relationships w/ people isn't as good for my mental health or mature conflict resolution as I once thought.
There's a lot to learn from addressing the problem and finding a way to fix it. Cutting off ties should be an absolute last resort
Well, it was an extreme response, but taking a step back from close interactions until after Ramadan could be a decent idea if he chooses to be preachy and overtly proselytize-y. You know him better than I do. Inshallah it works out for you.
Ideas around God Almighty are NOT supposed to cause friendships to crack. He is the holiest topic ever! May He forgive your sins (both of you) because you both seek Him. But why through different paths, only He knows.

Khadija you should have said "Zainab, I am having a party, I can only invite 5 people. And we spend so much time together, I was wondering if you could give your spot to [fill in the blank] so I can get her out of the house and give her some fun. Is that ok?"
That's a good idea. I wouldn't ask, though. I would keep her in the loop about the party, the restrictions, and that I need to give another friend an opportunity to hang out with me. Then promise to invite Zainab to the next party. That way it's not unintentionally snubbing her and she has something to look forward to.

Well i would say that we should focus on the thing that she said "don't place to much expectation in your friendships", what does that mean in my opinion is don't forget that everybody can do what ever they want and that means you too, so you shouldn't consider everybody as your best friend because they're not nécessairly, in other words you should expect the good from people but don't forget that they can hurt you too so in that case if you aknowledge it you'll be able to face it easier and not get hurt because at the end the one you should be afraid to lose a relationship with is allah and no one else, that's the major lesson that i would recommande from this vidéo and guess what the relationship with allah is the easiest one to keep because allah in all good, mercyfull, loving and compréhensive so don't waist it ❤️❤️❤️❤️
