I agree on the smart pads, need to have similar functionality of the GoXLR, and a better routing table
Yep. The routing system on the Duo is a mess tho. It's not well designed and could be so much simpler. 😩
Thanks for this video. I’m guessing though you wouldn’t recommend getting the GoXLR nowadays with everything going on with TC Helicon?
Hey there! Thank you for watching ! Yes. Unfortunately is a dead end tho because is no official support.
Go XLR released an official driver update last week. So even though they cut their software team in canada, others around the US on their team are still developing updates.
@@NickleNinja2 that’s true, that’s the reason I still use the GOXLR but if someone wants to buy a new mixer unfortunately I cannot suggest a device that is discontinued even with a team working on a updates since cover only software not hardware unless you find a really good price for it each I think price of the GOXLR still high tho. I appreciate it bro for putting this comment 😁👍🏻
So they are back working and just released a new update. NOT DEAD ANYMORE
@@Ramiracles did they get new investment? That’s crazy
I bought the Rodecaster Duo and returned it yesterday. I am an old man I need something simple and easy to use. I bought the GoXLR it arrives tomorrow. Hopefully it will be much simpler.
Hey bertdesantis! Thank you for watching!Yes , the Duo is more complicated. The Goxlr is easier to setup and the routing system is so much better. If you need any help setting up let me know 👍🏻😁
Are you able to create a video showing how you set the Rodecaster Duo up for a duel pc setup ?
Hey Beestonn! Thank you for watching! I would for sure but I did return the Rodecaster Duo since I had Rode support telling me no official support for PS5 even doing a work around for sound issues. If I hear from them again relate to that , fixing the issue I will consider change my current mixer.
Nice video and best wishes! I'm looking for a new setup and i have a Nova pro wireless, How do you connect it to the DUO? And is it also possible to have mic monitoring without latency then on the Nova headset?
Hey Kevin! Thank you for watching hung and the wishes 😁. So the duo you connect using the 3.5mm jack on the front to your back pro wireless DAC( on line in there). So any mic you use on the duo you will hear on your headset with no latency. While testing for a while I have not see any latency on my mic from the duo to my headset at all.
Thank you so much for the quick reply! And for a new casual starting streamer with little audio knowledge do you recommend de DUO or the GOXLR?
@@TheKevNL737 So before I give you my opinion let ask you this question. Are you planning to stream from a console even in the future or pc only?
@@RodiBroGamerIt will be only PC. I'm not a controller/console gamer haha.
@@TheKevNL737 alright no problem 😁! So in that case I think the duo will be a better investment. Also does have a super easy way to EQ any mic you want to use
I actually just bought the GoXLR because it went on sale for $280. I get it won't have official support but if it just works then that is all I need. I like the idea of the Rodacaster but the price is so steep and it seems it lacks some pretty cool features that the GoXLR has. These are fun and helpful features that can add so much to a stream performance.
Hey MonsterChuck! Thank you for watching!! I completely agree with your decision. Not only you get a great price but yes it works as intended by the way, I still use mine since works flawlessly since I got it years ago. Thank you for leaving your thoughts here 😁
GoXLR devs just released a new beta firmware for submixes. You made a good choice, it’s not dead 😊
@@haies09 yes you right!! Haven’t used yet but this is such a huge deal 😁😁😁
Go XLR released an Official windows 11 Driver update over christmas break
Hey Nicklel! Thanks for this information! Have you updated yet? I have use my latest version on windows 11 with no issues so far. Let us know if you did.😁😁👍👍
Is the audio routing still a pain? Or is it better than go xlr now?
Hey TheRealRustyGrill! Thank you for watching! Still the same way. I don't think they will change much as it is but for sure is more confusing then the GOXLR. Once you have figure it out on the Rode than it will be fine since you will get use to it. But still prefer how GOXLR routing table is .
@@RodiBroGamer of course! You video was great I will be subbing. I have the go xlr since about 4 days ago but haven’t set it up yet. Should I get rid of it and buy the rodecaster pro 2 ? Or just stick with the go xlr?
@@TheRealRustyGrill Thanks for subbing and welcome to our community!! So if you use more for podcast rodecaster pro 2 is design for those first at Podecaster. If you use for live stream with dual PC no console at all for stream Rode is great. If you going to use with PS5 or XBOX or another console stay with GOXLR. I still using my GOXLR as my main since works flawless and not only that but the original GOXLR Team just updated the firmware and added submixing to the GOXLR which is huge benefits. I would stay on the GOXLR unless if you are mainly Podecaster. Hope i could help 😁😁
@@RodiBroGamer much appreciated!
would you get rodecaster pro (1) used for 300e or new goxlr for 250e? )amazon de
Hey KeppadaTV! Thank you for watching! I would go for the new GOXLR for that price. The reason in this case is because the Rodecaster pro ( 1st gen ) is not that good compared to the 2nd gen since they fix a lot of stuff from it, and make it better in several places. Now Goxlr has for a while been super reliable and not only did the official support release a new driver last month meaning some people still working on this product for driver updates but a full team constantly upgrading the software app and making amazing improvements. Now if was the Rodecaster pro 2 VS goxlr then it will be a different story. 👍👍😁😁
@@RodiBroGamer thanks for the answer! i realized GOXLR doesnt have midi input so might have to go with focusrite scarlet 4i4 4th edition instead so i can connect my synth to the setup
@@KeppadaTV agree with you. Unfortunately Goxlr doesn’t have that medi input and scarlet is a solid option for that. 👍🏻
