You can unscrew the parts where the bulb goes. The back plate comes right off. Easier to paint it outside.
Exactly how I did it, mine I didn't even have to screw them out, yhe just pulled off. Super easy.

Hello. I have a similar light fixture, it’s 72 inches wide and I cannot find antique bronze in that at length anywhere!! 😩😩 I’m so nervous to paint! How’s it holding up with the moisture? Can you do another updated video? Would love to see how it looks a year later.
