JNSC Intake 2019/02 The Journey

  • The seventh batch of the Jamaica National Service Corps (JNSC), Intake 2019/02, marked the end of the final phase of their basic training with a Certification Ceremony at the JNSC Multipurpose Building in Up Park Camp today August 27, 2020.
    The 488-member Intake completed the various phases of the JNSC training programme, increasing the total amount of participants to have come through the program to 3785 thus far. Each member of the Intake was awarded a HEART/NSTA Trust qualification in Security Service Core Operation Level 2 and a Caribbean Military Academy certificate as an Infanteer Class 4. The intake will now move on to the next phase of their careers.

      Good day,
      According to Major Basil Jarrett, Civil Military Cooperation Officer for the JDF, “the JNSC is a new category of military service which will see approximatley 1,000 persons aged 18-23, being enlisted in the JDF annually and trained over a one year period in military, vocational and broader life skills.

    This is nothing but dham foolishness. During my intake we trained for 6 full months. Back then that was training. What these people doing now is simple walk over stuff. The entire jdf had been watered down to nothing.. then after started living abroad and joined army rangers, that was real training and real life of a soldier. This bull shit that jamaica have is total nonsense to people who really knows. This is not even the full first stage of training for people who served on the Frontline in places like Iraq, Afghanistan and other places. None of these soldier have any training nor Frontline experience standing behind a 50 caliber mounted on an humv or ever been an helicopter Gunner so the jdf have no combat history no where else in the world.
