- The Jamaica Regiment (Jca Regt) is the primary infantry Brigade of the Jamaica Defence Force. The infantry is responsible for a wide range of internal security operations which goes beyond assisting the Jamaica Constabulary Force. The Jca Regt operates in an across several domains, not only in Jamaica, but in the region. The infantry is also involved in community support, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response, and is responsible to conduct national ceremonial parades. The motto is "Pro Gente", the meaning of which embodies service to Jamaica: " For the nation".
Was/is my dream to become a jdf soldier . Passed every stage but didn’t get a call . Am probably too old now Just here as a young man in 🇯🇲ja trying to avoid trouble

It should be mandatory for all able body JAMAICAN to serve their country for at least two to three years , but as one writer states that he passed all the requirements but was turned down , I don't doubt him because if you don't have any good link Dawgs nyam yuh suppa because I went through similar situation it's long after I was able to serve my country as a member of the security force and even while I was serving in still get a hard time but I know that GOD is not sleeping in put everything in his hands and I know that one day my name will be cleared .

as an ex member ....its sad to see jdf become what it has today, the only problem with the jdf are the high ranking officials that continue to use the organizations resources for themselves and their families while hard working soldiers are treated unfairly. example. a soldier cannot get the use of a vehicle to take him from point A to point B, but the family members of officers gets the use of a army vehicle 24 hrs a day 7 days a week with a personal driver

Was my dream but jdf turn mi down 3 times both regular and reserve I pass all requirements and tests only people with links got in out my batch of potential recruits now I’m probably too old

Please who feels it knows tell that to the hundreds of potential recruits who got turned down for no reason because they don’t know someone in the system it’s not always like that but it those happen you have youths with the right requirements and qualifications and still not accepted for example a female was in my batch and she didn’t meet the height requirements and she was told to go home and she called her dad which was a captain and he came and when the sergeant saw the big ranking walk in she was immediately passed so don’t tell me I’m talk negative

Jamaica does not have an Army in the true sense of the word, it's not BIG enough. Hence the name Jamaica Defence Force.
