    This video is about us celebrating our 7th year of living in North Carolina.
    We discuss the Pros and Cons of living in North Carolina, what our thought process was when we considered the question, should you move to North Carolina?
    We looked at the best cities to live in North Carolina. We looked at US Best Places to live, Top 10 places to live in the US, Best reasons to live in the Triangle and many other national lists.
    There were a number of factors we considered. The key for us was the strong job market and the many technology companies in the area.
    North Carolina, good and bad is what we have embraced. Should you move to North Carolina?Are you a fan of the Blue Devils, the Tarheels, ACC Basketball? Duke vs. North Carolina. These could be reasons for you to live here. We settled on one of the best towns you can live in outside of Raleigh to make our home.
    Watch our video and if you are moving to North Carolina, you'll have to make the best decision for you and your family. Good Luck!

    Tacy, I love your commentary on the videos. It's like you know what women want to hear. Like in the other video, I love that you mentioned when you buy a house you only own the house itself and not the land. In this video I like everything you said about racism and I trust your opinion in terms of if a city is boring based on previous videos as a collective lol. Thank you both for your honesty while also be respectful. Peace and love.

    Hi my loves! My husband and I are relocating to NC in the next two or three months and are debating about going to Raleigh or Charlotte. Raleigh is his hometown so having his parents around would be cool especially since we have young children. He is a wedding photographer and we currently live in the NYC area so we are just trying to figure out if Charlotte would be a better market, more urban/industrial sceneries, etc. I have heard that Charlotte is poorly laid out, is not as progressive as Raleigh and tends to be much more old southern style. Raleigh would have more diversity I would assume because of the RTP. (My husband is African American and I am mixed white and Chinese) (My mother in law has never been to Charlotte so that's why I thought I'd ask y'all) Thank you for these fun videos! Btw where did you tape this video? Also, yall do NOT look anywhere near 50! Keeping each other young!

    Hello Heath and Tracy, first I'd like to thank you for your videos relating to North Carolina. They've been a big help in my search for a new home. I've lived in NYC all my life and after traveling to many places where the culture is opposite to NYC's, I'm looking for my ideal home in a place where the culture is more agreeable to my tastes and aspirations. I prefer a simple and quiet life with a heavy emphasis on outdoor recreation. I enjoy close knit communities, spacious environments, and the ability to take pride in my property. From my interests, western North Carolina stands out to me. I'm currently involved in education, and hoping to branch into politics, so I'm wondering if North Carolina would be a fit professionally. I know there's plenty of universities here, so that's a plus. Please advise!

    • @HeathandTracyTV
      @HeathandTracyTV  Před 6 lety +1

      +guitarwhelp Western NC is gorgeous. Been visiting there since my teenage years. Ideal for your outdoor activities certainly. I don't have a strong feel for the politics but believe it leans a bit conservative in that part of the state. Need to vet that a bit more. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching! Hello great videos and you two are amazing. God is with you both! My wife and I are thinking about moving NC, and we are currently living in a small city in upstate NY. We have visited Charlotte NC a few years ago and we really enjoyed our time their. My wife wants to visit Raleigh NC because she hears great things about the city plus it's almost the size of the city we currently live in New York. We both have professional careers, but curious about the job market in Raleigh NC. Is the job market on the up swing or are the jobs hard to find in Raleigh?

    • @HeathandTracyTV
      @HeathandTracyTV  Před 7 lety +1

      +rboxx31 Raleigh/RTP area is a real job hub and is driving growth here. Technology jobs, pharma, bio pharma, health care, and startups is the crux of what's happening here. If you are a skilled worker, you'll have no issues. If you need to add skills, I'd recommend some of colleges or the tech schools here as they have connections to the companies with jobs😉. Maybe we'll do a video to go a bit more in depth on this. Thanks for watching!

      +Danielle Coleman Raleigh is a good town. Lots of the younger set enjoys North Raleigh. Don't let our boredom talk scare you. Raleigh is not a major city like D.C. Or Houston. Sometimes that's good though. 😉 Everyone is different. D.C. Is crazy expensive. Houston is not. Take a good look at H-town and compare it against Raleigh. Maybe we'll do a Pro and Cons on D.C. As you suggested! All the best! Thanks for watching!

      We would still recommend Raleigh since you could easily find employment and it would be affordable. The nice thing is the black culture is growing and we are only 4 hours from DC. They kids would excel with guidance. I wouldn’t move to the outskirts but stay closer to the metropolitan areas. DC is great for the single life but not for the kids.

    Hi I hope you see my comment. My wife and I are really thinking of moving to NC. I’m thinking the Raleigh area. We are a lesbian couple. Would you say they are gay friendly ? Also I’m currently the only one that drives so I’m nervous about traffic being that it is a big city. How would you rate the traffic? Is it as bad as Atlanta, if you’ve been? Thanks for reading.

    • @HeathandTracyTV
      @HeathandTracyTV  Před 5 lety +1

      Much better than Atlanta! And come on to NC! Despite what your hear in the news, Raleigh is very gay friendly. More so than many other places we have lived. You two will see yourself here. Good luck, stay positive and step out on your faith! Thanks for watching!

      Greensboro is a bit slower than Raleigh Durham. Cool history though with The Civil Rights Movement , NC A& T University, & UNC Greensboro. Good location as it’s close to the mountains, Charlotte and Raleigh as well...Check out our Facebook page too. Heath and Tracy Know Carolina. Thanks for watching! Here is our latest updated NC vid...

I think it's rare to find people from Silicone Valley expressing interest in Durham/Raleigh. I did my research and I think you will like Cary, Morrisville, Raleigh and Chapel Hills. At least, for me those would be my choice if I were to move my family there within the next few years.

    Hey, what do you think about Concord, NC ? Also, what do you think about moving to a place where you don’t know anyone ? I’m 27 I have a 3yr old baby girl and I was thinking about relocating too Concord, NC but I’m nervous because it’s the south and I don’t know anyone.
    Thanks in advance, Love your channel !

    • @HeathandTracyTV

      Concord is basically Charlotte. So lots to do for singles! Make sure get out and mix it up. Church activities, volunteer, any interests you have is going to have some type of group going. Hop in with other feet and get ready for a new beginning. As far as “the south” is concerned, we are
      Southerners thru and thru. Most of what you hear is not true and our sights sounds, good and people are the salt of the earth. I have lived here my entire life and won’t leave. Love it and thanks for watching! More to come in 2018!

    • @HeathandTracyTV
      @HeathandTracyTV  Před 6 lety

      The true separation of living by white, Black and brown. Most neighborhoods are either or. No real intergrating even in public areas. If you see most of one race, you don’t really see the other. It is improving tho.
