Seen a plumber with the Flexvolt, man he was smashing it, this drill is a beast.

For me, this is the type of tool that works best with 120v. It's a tool that really needs to be able to power through thick layers of wood so for me starting with a corded one is a no-brainer. However if I found that I was using it more often and got tired of having to break out the extension cord all the time then I'd get a cordless. I definitely understand the desire for the convenience of a cordless for someone who uses this type of drill day in and day out but since this is the kind of thing I don't use too often, the dependability and power of corded is preferable.

to each their own, for me I like the cordless model because pretty much all my everyday tools are cordless so if i need a quick hole i just need the drill and not a cord, thanks for sharing! and thanks for watching :)

I use the corded version to lift up my dump trailer with dual 12000 axles, 12 inch I beam a stump grinder and a 80 horse skidloader. I had to buy a high low jack because high would burn drill up. It takes all the power from corded version. Problem is I have to get a generator out in remote locations, which sucks. Does the cordless version have the grunt of corded?

Contrary to what you said, the handles on the back are identical. It’s only a difference in how they are affixed. You can flip it around as you like.

Is someone going to fit a mains power supply into a battery casing to turn a cordless tool into a corded tool ?

They already do that with the x2 flexvolt 120v mitre saws. Would be nice to have a single type for the cordless table saw i guess.

The uncorded was on full charge I’m assuming and still jigging your hands. The corded looked like you had to let up the trigger and it was more smooth while being able to offer that all day while having a jacked setting you didn’t even show. It’s not even close really imo

The damn thing is defective you unscrew it with a T25 it only goes in one way tighten er up it’ll be just fine at this point do not let it get pushed past the 2 position the damned bearins are too tight and bearins slots under the switch aren’t big enough so after two is gets jammed

It about how much you want to spend. Cordless is a lot more money then cord drill probably few hounded dollars more
