      Thanks - we do to, especially since we did the new drivers seat upgrade! We are thinking of doing a walkthrough video showing how we set it up - anything you'd like to see?

    Great video. Did you set manually the position of the base? Or you set a base point before (measuring a few hours and then using a PPP online service).

      Do you work with relative or absolute coordinates?

      Hi Marcelo - we established our own base control point. We have a more detailed article on the Map Gear web store blog here - www.mapgear.com.au/setout-using-emlid-reach-rs2-gnss-receivers/

      @@MangoesmappingAU Thank you so much, your link was exaclty was I was looking for. I wish I could travel to Australia and do some work with you just to learn and then bring some "know-how" knowleged to Chile.Meanwhile I'll keep watching your videos and reading some tutorials.

    How did you import the coordinates ? Or they were existing jobs

    • @alistairhart9908
      @alistairhart9908 Před 2 lety

      Hi Raymond, I generated the coordinates in my GIS software and exported them as a CSV. Using MS Excel, I then modified the format of the CSV document to meet the requirements from import into ReachView3.
      Check out this helpful video from @Emlid - czcams.com/video/E0TX5h7sOR8/video.html
      TIP: Remember that the points need to have the headers of the columns in English, and they must be literally: "Name, Easting, Northing, Elevation". If you have additional columns, you will need to edit your data to remove those prior to import.
      Once you get the hang of it, it's really straightforward!
      Email me at hello@mangoesmapping.com.au if you would like a sample dataset to use as a template and to work from.
      Cheers, Alistair.

    Is it advisable to purchase emlid or go for trimble/topcoat gnss receiver w.r.t
    1 pricing

    Excellent tutorial. Do you have a workflow available?

    • @MangoesmappingAU
      @MangoesmappingAU  Před 2 lety

      Hi Jamie, we haven't created any workflow documentation at this stage. Emlid have excellent online documentation and tutorials on their CZcams channel for Reach devices. Read product tips and case studies on the Emlid blog.

    It has 182 channels while other brand have more than500 channel .does it affect accuracy

    • @MangoesmappingAU
      @MangoesmappingAU  Před 2 lety

      The RS2 has 184 channels, and according to the Emlid's specifications in PPK mode has a positioning accuracy of H: 5 mm + 0.5 ppm & V: 10 mm + 1 ppm.
      While more channels may provide additional accuracy, the improvements could be very subtle depending on your scenario.
      To double check - we contacted Emlid's technical team and their response is....
      "182 channels is more than enough for obtaining the cm-level accuracy. The additional number of channels don't really affect the accuracy. In reality, 500 channels are seldom used fully, so the difference in the end result is negligible."
      I hope that helps!
