You can easily tell how Brian has improved in racing and his confidence has grown. In his first race in F1, he was reckless and relied too much on Nos. if you watched the prelude, you can see how much he improved with every race he was in and his R34 instantly became his best friend forever. No wonder throughout the saga, all he wanted was his skyline

The smartest racer was the rx7 for not making the jump. The damage to your car would cost more than they'd win.
But then again. Brian made the jump and hardly did any damage. It's always worth taking a risk
Risk taking is smart but unless you factor in street cred, the Rx7 owner did make a smart move. 2/3 cars got damaged and conner’s r34 may have sustained unnoticed damages that may hurt later. Lol, I just felt like blowing the post out of proportion.
@@Master-rn9ot this is a movie though, the actual stunt blew out all of the tires, broke the body work and even damaged the oil pan

For me, Brian is actually calm so he's not distracted, meaning he is focusing, the other racers on the otherhand is just screaming at eachother, taunting at eachother. Brian is also enjoying the race and uses the nitro at the perfect time at the race.
He learned from his mistakes in the first movie 😁😁
Supra/Slapjack wasn't screaming, He was quite focused, But he was pretty cocky.
Slap Jack was too focused in blocking Brian that he made a mistake in the final corner, giving Brian an opportunity.

0:24 this shot is identical to the first movie’s first race. Except in the first movie it focuses on Brian first and slowly gets to Dom.
With this movie, Brian is shown last, almost showing he is like Dom now in this movie.
Another detail is in the first film, Brian is seen as nervous when this shot happens. Now, he is calm and cool, showing how much better of a racer he has become.
Very trueeeee I’m stupid for not realising this, it is a cool reference since Brian was gaining more experience in racing in the prelude too so it makes him the most intimidating racer there.

@anonymous bro I love hondas, and I got an s2k so this may seem bias. But I think it was better for them to put the s2k in at the time cause it was hondas newer sports car. Plus this was also johnny trans s2k from the first movie so it didn't make sense to scrap it and buy a new car. Instead, they just re did it to fit sukis character.

Unpopular opinion: this is the best racing scene in the whole franchise. All four are fighting their respective battles.

Well, Ena Fast Furious used to say that when everyone is at a table before lunch.

And using Japanese cars
The Fast and Furious saga was never about street racing. It was about pulling off jobs and never turning your back on family, even when they do. Something you wouldn't understand, since you just watch the racing.

Daquan Harrison lmao it’s fast and furious not friends and family of course the movies are supposed to be about cars and racing
That skyline sound was INSANE
Love how these movies are totally removed from reality. You hit a jump like that, the driveshaft snaps immediately when you land. Engine mounts crack or break off. The front end and radiator are shot. Suspension is totally blown out. And you're lucky if you don't get traumatic spinal cord injuries. I landed a few car jumps when I was younger, and that's what happens. The car is destroyed most of the time. But I did have a monster trucked toyota pickup that made it a while.
legend says that skyline has 13 gears
They don`t upshift all the time! Before the turns they do a downshift. The last shift from Brian in the Evo in the race against the two muscle cars is also a downshift to get more rpm.
You realize they were downshifting as well right?
Legend says you have never driven car yourself, cuz if you had you would be able to realice that they downshifted in turns, look at their speeds when shown, look at 1:51 to 1:56 you can see the dude go to downshift while yelling hell no and there is near 100% chance Brian did the same, 2:41 to 2:44 and the same again you can see him shift gear again and very high chance Brian had to do the same, 3:46 to 3:49 and once again you can see the downshift, so considering the shifts and speeds Skyline would have needed to have 6 gears which is what they have, having to take 90 degree turn you are going to lose lot of speed and take it down 1-3 gears and if Brian took all turns taking it down 2 gears, which makes 100% sense, he would have been on 6th gear in the end
Lol

Devon had never driven a car before in her life before coming to the set of 2F2F. There's a behind-the-scenes video from the DVD extras that covers this. The professional race drivers and stunt drivers pretty much gave her and intense crash course (no pun) in not only driving, but driving like a race driver. In the space of a week she climbed a steep learning curve, from zero driving experience _at all,_ to aggressively ripping around a track in a supercharged stick-shift Mustang.
