    I started doing zentangle a few years ago and just stopped doing it. Seemed so complex. Tripped over your videos and after watching this I'm excited to start again. Your video was wonderfully relaxing, fun and inspiring. Thank you for sharing your time, talent and inspiration.

    Thank you Melinda for explaining this zentangle step by step! I have just done your tutorial on sketchbook revival 2022 and thought I'd continue with it following you from the 1st video onwards. I love the organic botanical patterns! Please can you post a link to the finished zentangle of this? I could not find it on your website. many thanks!

      +Cheryl Tarkington to get certified you need to go to www.zentangle.com and see when the next class will be. They are all done in Providence RI.

      +TheQuetzalcoatl Yes you can overlap the pattern, I call that the Hollibaugh effect. Because or the tangle Hollibaugh by Molly Hollibaugh.

    where do you get the tool you use for shading? Can I make one myself? I know you're supposed to use "propper" tools but I have a brain disability and live on about $35 a week so if its something I can make myself I try to do that. Thank you for sharing your skills. They keep me focused on not paying attention to my pain and give me a focal point to concentrate on. I am very much enjoying learning.

    • @MelindaBarlow
      @MelindaBarlow  Před 7 lety

      I use a very inexpensive paper blending tool, it is made from paper rolled up to form a point. Like a sucker stick very tightly rolled. They don't cost very much and can be reused over and over. You can get them at Walmart or JoAnn craft. Do you live in the USA?

    I found your videos courtesy of @betsi_jae, she's an awesome teacher. I like this Zentangle, but the sound is not very good and it's hard to see what your doing most of the time as your hand gets in the way. I assume this will improve over time. ❤
