That speaker is amazing! Makes me wish they'd replicate all the phasers. I love my master replicas assault phaser but they could definitely redo that as far as I'm concerned :)
Thanks for the review Starchwreck. If I was to nit-pick, I'd say the muzzle is too Season 1, the seamline is annoying (as you said), not fond of the Voyager colours, unlike the Stapleton/GM Props this one has no diagnostic and the sound effects don't cycle I.E. the second you release the trigger the muzzle LED goes out. But it does have a better array of sound effects and a better speaker compared to the GM Props version and is a great addition to a TNG fan's prop collection, especially if they're not good at prop building. Personally, I think I'll stick to my Stapleton/GM Props, as I prefer the late TNG colours 😉
I bought a cricket at a convention, good reproduction, except the end is more squared off. Made one out of wood to get a more accurate replica. Somehow that was lost, over the 15 times I moved. Still have the cricket from the convention.
The other metal one was originally made for DS9 as a prop but it was too heavy and fat. So they sold them to Starland as a licensed prop. It only lit up and the settings were changeable and it had a light up overload feature. But I don't believe it had sounds.
Makes sense ,they would add sound effects in post-production , ,Dolby 3D function sometimes has to be added to various scenes ( phaser displayed near right side of screen then fires completely across to left side of screen ) in some shots and audio effects must reflect this , ,after all the viewing public spends a lot of $$$ on there home stereo systems ,even in the 1990s 😸🌲👍👍
I noticed that this is on back order from Factory Entertainment. Is this an item you pre-ordered a while back? I was just wondering if I was to purchase one, how long it would take to receive. Thank you. And great video. So far, I think yours is the only unboxing video on CZcams right now for this product.
I got one as well. It MIGHT be on backorder because of a problem with the display case. The factory put a protective film over the top to protect the clear plastic on the lid and it had a reaction to the paint used on the case...causing a stickiness to the paint that can't be removed. So they will replace them if you let them know. The replacement boxes won't be ready until Oct / Nov so they probably stopped shipping them until they replace the boxes. Other than that the replica is excellent
