#seejanedrill - Jak na to + styl
The heat gun trick to soften and spread the color was dope. Haven’t seen that one before.
Leah all I can say is "Wow what a beautiful bathroom fixture and it is unique". I bet your neighbour wants it back after the wonderful job you have done. Amazing Leah
I was afraid you had left for higher realms. Nice to see your still with us teaching how to hold our shit together.
I'm not going anywhere, I still upload every week
@@seejanedrill maybe my subscription fell off . Glad to know you’re around for all time anyways
You did it again ! I had no idea products like that are available to restore that sink to new luster...and to be able to choose the colors is awesome. Thanks again for the tip Leah. 👍
You are so welcome!
In my neighborhood, things that are out by the curb are up for grabs. When someone else takes it, it's their stuff.
When talent & patience come together, you’ve got beauty!
Well Leah, you did it again! Got me charged up for another project. Please continue with this content. Love you & all your help.🥰
Wowzer. Sink turned out fantastic!
Leah, thank you for sharing your gifts and talents with us. When you say "you can DO this", I almost think even I could do it! I wish you much success. Be Cool.
Thank you and you can!
@@seejanedrillThe first major project I did in my bathroom was because of you. We didn’t have much money and I couldn’t afford to pay for repairs. With your help I got it done. My wife was so impressed and I’ve since become somewhat of a decent handyman. I remember repeating your words of “You can do this!” before beginning that project. Thank you for the help and the positive motivation you give out. It helps more than you’ll ever know. Cheers!
I adore her!
You are very talented. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!
Leah, thanks so much for this video. Have been thinking about covering my current bathroom counter top with epoxy. After watching this, I might as well take care of the sink. Been a subscriber for more years than I can remember and you've been a very big help. Appreciate you tremendously. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for your support
Gussy, my Dad used to say that. It fits. This turned out better than new wow
That is a pretty slick trick, Leah!! Thank you for sharing this make-over with us. I think I could do this to my 30-year old kitchen sink to brighten it up a bit!
Trash from the neighbour’s lawn…Score! Great method for restoring a sink!
Woooow. I was scared for a min. I kept saying trust the process lol.
You are awesome and such an inspiration! The sink is gorgeous!
It is absolutely beautiful Leah no surprise though with your skill! Thank you for sharing!
Woohoo 🎉! This epoxy kit is on sale now for $29.99 🙂
On Amazon it is not available. Where did you find this sale? Thanks.
@@sleepinglioness5754 I just clicked on “more” in the description box of the video and the link for the epoxy kit is right there. The link took me to Amazon and the price is a cyber Monday sale for $29.49. However, I just realized the discount price is for Prime members only.
Excellent project, Leah, thanks for sharing!
That’s what I call, taking the mystery out of a much ballyhooed process. Thanx. 👍💖
“Hot dog roller” - I’ve never heard that one but that’s a perfect description!
Thanks for sharing this with us, Leah.
Thank you Leah. That was a great find.
Wow, that was amazing! Thanks for sharing.
Wow. I specialize in faux finishes and I gotta' say..very, very nice! Looks great!
Thanks Mark
Great job! I love that you softened the colors you added. looks so natural!
I'm thrilled!!!!
Thanks Leah
I love the clear cultivated speech.
You're awesome girl!!
You’re so creative. Nice job❤
That looks great Leah!!!
Beautiful sink!
I just used the material on an old cast iron sink. The surface was heavily pitted. I used Bondo to fill and a universal bonding primer over the Bondo...three coats with drying and sanding in between. The epoxy refinisher went on nicely...three coats sanding between the first two.
The result is a stunning new 112 year old sink...via casting date.
I'd love to see it.
Definitely appreciate your videos! Thanks.
Wow, what a great educational video. I learn a lot. Thank you.
Leah your such a boss ! I like your content delivery style/videos I’ve picked up a lot of tips
This is so cool! I bet your neighbor loves it ❤
Love it and want to see more like this! Thank you!
Another ‘’Amazing’’ job! 👍🏻🇺🇸
That is truly a work of art
Looks fabulous!
You always explain things so well even a child should be able to follow your instructions. Thanks for the incredible way that you teach us how to do ur projects.
Nice idea!
Nice approach to invigorate an old cultured marble top.
Can you please do a video on how to attach heavy items (shelves, window curtains, etc) on these ultra-thin plasterboard walls that newer homes are being built with?
Especially if you can't find a stud in the area where you want to put something up.
I use anchor screws but after a few months they just fall out leaving a big hole in the wall.
Great work... 🥳🥳🥳
Thank you 😁
Always enjoy 👍
Absolutely beautiful!!
Wow! That is simply AMAZING Leah! Well done!
You never crease to amaze me!
I haven't heard anyone say, "gussy it up" in a very long time". : ) This is an interesting project.
Great video thanks for sharing 😉🤗
Wish I had watched this five years ago! Thanks Leah!
AWESOME!!!!
AWESOME creative video!!!!
I appreciate how u showed how to do this, but my obsessive compulsiveness of cleaning up wants to clean up the paint all over your sink. 😂. 🍻
Sounds like the solid white would be best for you. 😁
@@ItchyKneeSon or even like little scattered speckles 🤣. 🍻
That’s awesome!
Wow Leigh, amazing job. I think I'll give that a try.
Very nice job.
Love it Leah
Very nice!
Got 2 Amazon kits & a facemask, 3 years ago, been waiting on Courage.. Were there fumes?
This video boosted my 'can do' confidence .Thank you.
No fumes that I noticed however I was working in screened room
Always beautiful work 😊
That’s insane. Looks great!
Very cool
Very nice.
Amazing 👏 👍🇺🇸
Gorgeous.
Looks like a fun project!
It was sooooooo FUN!!!
Impressive
Cool 😍
I love your projects🥰🥰🥰🥰
Another home run!!
That's what our sink looks like everytime the grandkids finish brushing their teeth
😝
Leah, I work in the aircraft industry. You would not belive how many jobs I have seen ruined because someone did not mask off holes before they painted. Holes become to small and someone doesn't check then they decide to beet a bolt through the hole. Severe damage can be caused by someone not taking the 15 seconds to mask a hole then another person not taking 15 seconds to check the hole before they start.
Hey you. Your amazing! Great job!
Thanks hitman
Finders Keepers buddy!!
What Can't you do??? Love your videos.
Thank you for this video. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
Thank you, I did!
SJD, 2,000 points!
1,000 for the application of Vision and Effort!, and
1,000 for keeping that old cruddy sink counter from the landfill and giving it a new home!
Great example of true recycling by improving the product!
? Did you know prior to your project the slope of the bowl would not present a gravity issue when coated?
😂😂😂😂
It did oresent a gravity issue, I placed a cup unders the drain opening to catch the epoxy
Absolutely love the color combinations. You make it look so easy! I want to get rid of my black, speckled countertops....can you come over? I'l have coffee ready! lol! Thanks for the inspiration.
Cream with sugar
You got it!!@@seejanedrill
Leah, do you think this will work on the early 90’s cement- simulated marble cast sinks? Mine weigh a ton and need updating but they’re both 6 foot double vanities. This would be an affordable solution.
Hi Leah. This is great . Maybe in the future can you give us any information on the possibility of resurfacing a regular enamel bath . Is it possible to refurbish them ?
I havent found a product that does a good job
Thank you for asking this!!! I need to redo a bathtub also.
@@seejanedrillHow durable would this epoxy be on enamel like a bathtub?
Can we use that epoxy to paint a car?
An interesting idea but I think the epoxy would run and start to set up before completion
A great effect but it reminds me of the bathroom in a car paint spraying shop.
Thanks for this video. We are considering using epocy to redo our kitchen countertops. This looks like something we could do. More than once with our kitchen renos, i have heard your voice in my head sayung, "You? YOU CAN DO THIS."
Thanks so much, Leah. 😊
POURING TIP for liquids (oil, juice, ...epoxy, etc.):
-When pouring from a bottle with the opening offset to one side (like the epoxy resin bottles), pour with the opening at the top, not the bottom. This allows air to enter the bottle as you pour, leading to a more controlled stream, rather than the unpredictable 'glug, glug' effect seen in the video. It's not the end of the world, but it leads to less messes. Try it next time you change your oil. It's the bizzniss!!!
I would have snarky quoted him some ridiculous price for the restoration work and materials if he wanted it back that much. LOL
🤣☕☕😂
Interesting. Stunning save. Never thought of epoxy as a (nearly) self leveling finish for a bathroom surface. How much does it hide if the original surface has a color?
pretty sure it completely hides the original surface-just be sure and do all the prep work and tack cloth steps she gave
Primer hides the previous color
Is that a new kind of epoxy, as in improved? There are many videos on resurfacing counters, but that is the easiest I've ever seen...and most forgiving.
How is it for toxicity/smell?
This gives me some hope. I'm not as brave as I was when I was young-er!
Thanks, Leah.
(ps: you're almost at 1M subscribers)
I didn't notice an odor but I was working in s reened area
Can someone get Bob Vila over here to give this lady a TV segment!!
Thank you btw I am on the History Channel's tv show Secret Restoration
Bob Vila was exposed as not knowing much about home reno. He was actually fired from TOH for almost bankrupting homeowners. He was clueless about the trades. He heavily promoted the diy chains so he got sponsors. He is no where close to Lea's skills.😊😊❤❤❤❤
@@janicedozier4773
I think youre undercutting his proven architectual back ground in light of unrleated circumstances to his work.
@@Joe-pc3hsHe was building a house for a actor who played a tv dad, wish I could remember the name. The actor said he wanted the best of the best and hired vila. It was a total disaster to which the actor had to hire a real craftsman to redo. Bob even stated that he was not a craftsman and the real work was done by others. Needless to say I remember seeing this on tv, so I was floored. The actor was just numb when he had to shell out even more money to correct all the mistakes made. So the guru was not the guru. His background does matter if he could not deliver.
@@janicedozier4773
Did you mis that caveat where you included that Vila didnt even work on the property, but still attribute the shoddy contractor to him?
I really love to use Lysol toilet bowl cleaner for iron and calcium as a first level deep clean and then use glass cleaner.😊
Wow!!!! Super cool! Is it going in the ugliest house you could find? Dying to see more!!! ❤❤
It is indeed
wonderful. The guys at stone coat countertops would be proud! Did you use a top coat or sealer, or is one needed?
👍👍
What about tubs? To slippery?
3:15 I have this drill. I'm looking to get a newer DeWalt drill eventually, but the batteries have held up over 15 years or so.
I have different drills for different tasks, I really like this little black b decker drill
You can do this 👍👍👍😊☕️💛🧡🍺
Awesome video Jane. Been subscribed with you for I think 5 years or so now. Always look forward to your content. Has helped me out very much through the years. Have any good HVAC tips? Cleaning/Inspection on the furnace and others? Would love to see something like that! Love ya Jane!
