The uniform on Guided by Faith looks like an old Carabinieri uniform.
Favor of the Sun can guarantee Guided by Faith hits, and investigators like Sister Mary and Father Mateo can use Olive McBride (especially the new lv2 version) to fish for the Bless/Elder Sign.
The fight action from Hold Up does not have to be a basic fight action, you can use a weapon like Survival Knife to get +1 combat for the test.
Well spotted. So, particularly nice for anyone dressed in a dinner jacket, wielding a baseball bat, with a penchant for expensive accessories. 😂 In fact, you could even potentially return your Baseball Bat 2 to your hand after the nested fight action, retaining it in reserve, while playing another, more expensive weapon out to take its place; A snazzy trick if you can pull it off. 😂
Leo Anderson perhaps? Assuming Faustian Bargain is adding curse tokens. Zoey could do that too, and the Rogues that have access to guardian. Not as good as the automatic clue events, but maybe if you/your team want to lean into bless/blurse. Or just to be quirky.
It's a good card for both Leo, Zoey (especially the parallel version), and Sister Mary too, especially when combined with the faith based wrath of Brother Xavier's Will boost (or Chuck Fergus' event cost/action cost discount in the case of Leo), and of course it adds some much needed versitility and character to Father Matteo decks.
We're steadily seeing pure Guardian/cluver flex builds padded with the release of cards like Breach the Door, and now Guided by Faith. And let's face it, Guardian is the most narrow class in terms of the mechanical design space it exists in, so this card is a welcome addition. To be honest though, I was hoping that the "Leads" modifier used in Breach-- might be fleshed out into a more robust, transactable resource feature for Guardian in this release, incorporating interesting new ways to assemble clues, move around the map, and fish for enemies. Oh well, maybe in 2025. 😂

With the Rogue investigator in this cycle and hold up, she gets to parley😮once a round for free and she is almost certainly wearing fine cloths. 9ne way of looking at this card is that it kinda let's you convert fist icons to resources.
Hold up seems hard to be worth the card & resource & action for the effect. I think the main case I see for it is maybe with Mark right after using Act of Desperation and still being engaged with enemies (maybe because he pulled the auto fail, fricking Mark). Otherwise mayyybe Alessandra with Fine Clothes out, but I feel like she has better tools for the job in Rogue
well.. Fine clothes should still work for this test, even though it gets converted to a fight action, but then you are playing fine clothes with a guardian.
