imagine getting a 10.2 and being last place that's a crazy heat
That whole heat was hella fast 💨
This is history making! 1st LEGAL WIND sub 10 in Highschool History! Mark the date! 04/20/2024
Youngest legal sub 10 in history too; he doesn't turn 18 until May
WHAT!!! HE'S THAT YOUNG
😂 u should check out side the us bro the high school record in Jamaica is 9;99 no wind
This is incorrect. The Jamaican high school champs were won in 9.99 with a dead wind just 1 year ago. The date has already been marked I'm afraid 😂.
@@jordanjordannis2258there was no wind 😳 we where responsible for the wind reading how u going to tell me 😆 😂
US 100/200m depth is just ridiculous!
Until we need them…
Wow, these kids running 10.0s like that now. Wow.
to those who are wondering, NO THIS ISNT A HIGH SCHOOL RACE. the athletes all have international experience except the winner. each athlete's ranks in the World 100m as of may 2024 are: 56, 58, 24, 49, 202 (14 in the 200m), 218 and 334 for each of the placings respectively.
I was finna say bro, those times are ridiculous for a high school race!
Thanks for clarifying that, I was wondering what state was this😂😂😂
“ma boy jus went 9.93” so inspirational
Pure athletics making high school legends
WHO is this phenom??!! Wow. Keep eatin young lion, keep eatin.
Absolutely Insane 🤯
That was an fast heat
Damn everyone ran dumb fast! Thats the fastest HS race in history i would imagine‽
its not a high school race. multiple international atheltes including national champs are in this.
@@timn4481its high school bro💀
@@YaBoyShinzoChristian Miller is the only high schooler in this race the rest are pros
@@georgepoloai mb I didnt know
That's World Champion Marvin Bracy who congratulated him at 01:51. In case ya'll don't know Marvin also has an insane junior record in the 55m. 6.08 sec. Check that vid out.
yeah its a massive FS. everyone knows this.
Marvin Bracy has never been world champion. Although he was part of the US team that won gold on the 4x100 in the world juniors in 2010
Insane
thats crazy
Good stuff
That has to be a record
gotta be the shoes! just kidding...wish this guy all the success he deserves! what a great run!
He Fast Fast!
Sheesh 😮💨
In my opinion at this point the track world needs to do a special event where they place the fastest highschoolers/college athletes against the ranked fastest once a year just to mix it up a little bit. I feel like it would draw a lot of attention for the track world.
how tall he is ?
5'7 or 5'8 I think
Wind Legal???
Why were all the times so fast?
Talented athletes! I will say that not everyone in the heat is a high schooler. I recognized at least one pro, Filippo Tortu, who ran for Italy at the last Olympics. Was the anchor leg of their gold medal 4x100 team.
All those sprinters looked fast at this high-school track. What was all their times?
its an international field
Some smoke out there. They all are Champs running those times.
according to the iaaf, this kids has no official times prior to 2022, and in 2022 (was this the first time he's run a 100m in any official capacity?), he ran 10.58 into a decent head wind.. at age 15... and since then he's ran the 100m just 6 times. ..and 2 of those were heats before a final, so effectively he's ran it only 4 times since then.
So if the stats are correct, he's ran the 100m at full effort, about 6 times from ages 15-17, and is doing it at 9.93s...
does anyone know if he ran it as a junior athlete at all or did he just put on some shoes one day for fun and smashed out a 10.6 at lunch time?
bro wasnt wearing spikes he was wearing runners
U20 AR
Bro is in highschool right!? If so that is insane!
17 years old.. insane
Dude is like 5 foot 5
1:52
He's hugging 5'9 Marvin Bracy - looks 5'7 I'd say
@@MrKarlozzNah they said he's 5'6".
Goes to prove that height myth is exactly what it is, a myth. Usain Bolt wasn't fast bc he was tall. He was fast bc he was fast just like this kid.
What on earth….
Guy in blue gets out of the blocks better he'd be up there too.
@JoeCnNd • You're absolutely right. Both with more training will be monsters
Is this high school?
My jaw literally just dropped I can’t believe it. Way to go young man!!! Please don’t quit Track for football you could be the greatest runner we’ve seen since Usain Bolt potentially even greater!
@@Jaedub86 - He quit football for track.
no its not. its an international elite event. at least one athlete is a national champ from overseas.
The conditioning formula is out there and available to coaches who have the will to adapt, access the techniques to get these guys into camps and preconditioning them to be ready to run 🏃♂️ 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
What are they feeding them young boys these days?😂
Is he clean though? After what happened with Assinga i'm not believing anything
still not ratified by IAAF ?? weird
not really. These meets have bad track length, poor starting equipment and no drug testing quite often. Even NCAA times that don't meet World Athletics parameters don't have the times ratified.
Who cares can you run that time ?
Don’t think so!
Now you can see in the IAAF xd
That track is short lol
That mindset is short break its limit please
Usain Bolt ran a 19.93 200 when he was 17. I think that's equivalent to a 9.93 100. This kid probably won't be on Usain's level but cool comparison.
Ok where was the comparison in this video?
The only one who compared him is you
And bolts 19.19 split ran 9.92 in the first 100m a day or 2 days after he ran 9.58 so no 9.93 isn’t equivalent too 19.93 that is inaccurate you going on a straight line faster than when your on the curve in the 200 look up his splits please
It blows me away that people really don't think that there will never be someone faster than Usain. People said the same about so many of the past world record holders. Of course someone will come along and break every single record ever recorded, Usains included. This kid may be that one. And height has zero to do with speed.
Jamaica aint winning shit no more USA TRACK IS FUCKING BACK !!
If you're a track n field athlete then u KNOW...9.93 is irresponsible speed! My Goodness kid
Lmfao 😂😂😂 that's a 80 meters track 👣 everyone their could make the Olympics 100m final 😂😂 very questionable 😂
Nah
Nah stop hating
