    i just bought mine, i get very visible outer rings of light going around the spotlight. I dont really see it on any video ive watched, is this something you’ve experiences or is mine defective?

      I have the Spotlight se 19 now, the 36 degree beam is larger at the same distance, right? maybe it wasn't the right decision to go with the 19 degree, because with the 19degree the picture on the wall is a little too small here in my "CZcams Studio" .. a shame. A kinda like "zoom function" would be perfect! i think the Aputure mini Zoom would be better in this case but i dont own light storm gear@@atdavidlee

    would you recommend the 19 over the 36 for small to medium room? I'm often doing interviews at people's home and sometimes I'm stuck into a small apartment so Im wondering if the 36 is not too much...

    • @atdavidlee
      @atdavidlee  Před 9 měsíci

      the 36 has a broader use range. The 19 I feel fits better for very particular uses.

    Hey mate, is there any way to find out what the size of the spot is at say 1m, 5m etc?

    • @atdavidlee
      @atdavidlee  Před 4 měsíci

      Technically it's a 19 degree lens so it should be 19 degrees, does that help at all? Sorry if I mis-understood your question

    I want to buy Amaran Spotlight 36 lens kit. On the site they offer to buy a Spotlight SE Iris. It is necessary?

    • @atdavidlee
      @atdavidlee  Před 6 měsíci

      The iris is super helpful. I don't think it's necessary but it's certainly a nice accessory to have.

    What is the difference “Lens Only” and “Lens Kit”? In the picture (b&h) I see that both have a spotlight and lens and both have gobos

    • @brandonlazo
      @brandonlazo Před 8 měsíci

      The kit is the spotlight and the lens(for example 19 or 36) but this lens is interchangeable so if you buy the kit with 36 then you can buy just the lens 19 because you will already have the spotlight.

    Hello! I am going to buy one but I cannot well understand the difference in size of the wall projection between 19 and 36 degree lens attachment. Could you help me figuring out how much difference is among them?

    • @Swole_Cole_
      @Swole_Cole_ Před 4 měsíci

      From what I gather, choose the 36° if you want to cover a larger area in a smaller space. So say you’re in a bedroom or something and the lights are gonna be relatively close and you want to cover most of the wall.
      Pick the 19° if you’re lights are gonna be further away. OR if you just want a smaller spotlight for some reason.
      The farther from the thing you shine it on the bigger the projection is gonna be.
      But you could just go for the 36° and buy the iris insert to make the beam smaller.

    Hi. Would this work on my Nanlite fs-300b ?

    • @atdavidlee
      @atdavidlee  Před 5 měsíci

      I would say no as it was built specifically for the Amaran 150/300C. I think Nanlite has their own versions for the Forza series.

  • @brandonlazo

    For portraits? Do you recommend 19 or 36?

    • @atdavidlee
      @atdavidlee  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I guess it would depend how you're using it, not as a key light I would think. I would probably go with the 36 to have more flexibility with how you're going to use it.

    Can this fit amaran 60s?

    • @atdavidlee
      @atdavidlee  Před 8 měsíci

      I haven't tried it, you might want to rent the spotlight se first before looking to buy it.

  • @StringerBell

    Good review but you probably missed the most important part - does it cut clean? Are there any chromatic aberrations? Is the whole gobo projection in focus? Does it work good with the non-rgb Amaran 60x and 100x or 200x. A lot of missed opportunity to make a great review my friend. However, thanks for taking your time to show us at least something about this very new spotlight :)
