Charles is someone that is drunk on idealism, Magneto may be Bad but he has a point and as long as People Mutant or otherwise prove him right, no one can judge his actions as truly evil bar exceptions.
Most of mankind's fear/hatred of mutants stems directly from Magneto's crimes.

Magneto blames all humanity for the actions of a few and people say he's a hero. But when humanity fears all mutants for the actions of a few, we're the bad guys?
when humanity found out about the existence of mutants and immediately tried to kill or incarcerate them all?? yeah, yeah humans are the villains here, especially when magneto lived through the holocaust and sees the prejudice humans have against mutants is the exact same as the germans had towards the jews, and unless youre actively trying to help the oppressed youre only assisting the oppressor. just like the era of the nazis, the world of xmen isnt oblivious to what governments and human authorities are trying to pull against the mutants.

Magneto doesn’t blame all of humanity. He blames human supremacy. Be blames the opressive majority. Also humanity commited the holocaust and oppressed mutants through similar means, unlike Magneto who only ever killed in his own defense or the defense of mutants. Your logic is under the assumption that humans and mutants had the same level of systemic power. Humans have giant robots and killer machies that track and hunt mutants. Mutants only use their powers in self defense
He decided to give humanity a chance and then he watched another genocide i think his anger is justified

@@RealComfyNerdprobably the part that tees up the Wolverine part - Charles has Eric subdued and assuming the rest of Blue Team can defend him from Rogue and Sunspot (who isn’t nearly as committed as Rogue), Xavier has plenty of time before needing to exploit Magneto’s powers to fix the earth’s magnet field… TIME Gold Team needs, which Scott forfeits by blasting Charly 🤷♂️
