The woman is amazing and this is one of the best pop/R&B songs of all time, if not THE best pop/R&B songs of all time. She had that thing and when she first came on the scene it was like... wait... WHO is that? Every time I hear this, I'm swept back in time to when this was first on the radio. What an incredible experience it was, hearing it for the first time (and every time since then).
Cheryl proves YET AGAIN to be vocally flawless even at this stage in her career. I can't say the same for other singers of her era. I've always felt she was VERY "under-rated" vocally speaking and consider her just as good a singer as Patti Labelle and Chaka Khan. I will ALWAYS luv Cheryl's music.
Cheryl you're definitively the best vocalist. You blew by your charism, as well. Perfect job supported by David Foster himself. Artistic love between them eyes can't lie
This collab is AMAZING!! Holy Cow..Cheryl you're ROCKING IT, GIRL!! Cheryl YOU'RE KILLING IT!! LOVE THIS SONG!! Who doesn't wanna stand up & dance to Cheryl singing & slaying this song!! There is no DISCO ERA without this song!! I'd love to know the story behind this collab! TY so much guys!!
Cheryl absolutely NAILED it! She's stll got it - as a fan since '78 (!) I have all her albums and wish she's record a comeback album - over a decade ago she hooked up with Jam & Lewis for the stellar cut "Sweet Kinda of Love" on the Shark Tale soundtrack - it sounded like prime 70s/80s Cheryl Lynn - please Ms. Lynn gift us with a new album...2018?
The video is from 2011, which means that had passed around 33 years since 1978, when she launched this song. And her voice (live) is the same ... or even better.
Thanks for giving me an amazing childhood Cheryl even though I wasn’t in the 80s my mom used to play this whenever she cooked an stuff. Brings sweet sweet memories.
@@joelprice6028for most sopranos they can usually sing in the same key, some artists lower the key to preserve their voices especially if their songs is hard, this song is easy to sing for any soprano cus its right within their range
Absolutely fabulous performance. Saw this on PBS back in January 2009 and looked on youtube for two years and gave up until tonight and found it. Thanks for posting it!!! Love this, David at the piano, big orchestra/band, Cheryl and the dancers!
This is one of those feelgood songs love it and what wicked live vocals nice to see a non skinny dancer doing her thang but she looked like she was happy the song finished at the end.
Cheryl Lynn = Fabulous as usual................. Audience = The Walking Dead (And I'm being very nice to the audience because the Dead still walking, and the Audience not)

@@k.luison7968 Um no. There’s many artists who were out around her time who can not even sing songs in the same key today.
