@tomtalker2000 I've seen Patti and Cheryl live in concert. They both put on good shows but Cheryl took me there. I was no good when she hit all those high notes and she has amazing energy on stage despite her size. That's one thing I love about her that energy is contagious. She was definitely one of my favorite singers back in the day.

There are some songs by Cheryl that never got as much recognition as say Got To Be Real or Encore: From the first album: All My Lovin' (a jam), Come in From The Rain, You Saved My Day and Daybreak (Storybook Children). Listen to the vocal on Daybreak; it's incredible. From the In Love album: In Love, and Keep It Hot. From the Instant Love album (produced by Luther Vandross): Instant Love, Sleep Walking, Believe in Me, and of course her duet with Luther - If This World Were Mine. CLASSIC! There is an album released in 1989 called Whatever it Takes. It is SO good and SO slept on. Jesse Johnson from The Time produced several of the tracks and Cheryl co-wrote a few songs with the members of Loose Ends. The album is on CZcams. Take a listen to the title track - Whatever It Takes and tell me that Cheryl got the recognition she deserved. NOPE! I hate making comparisons so all I'll write is that Cheryl deserved as much success as Patti Labelle, who I LOVE! One of my favorite Sister Sledge songs is Thinking of You from the We Are Family album. My favorite Alicia Myers song is If You Play Your Cards Right. She sang the heck out of that song. So glad the three of them are still with us.
