A nice narrative but I have a few corrections for you if you don't mind. First...your Christabol Colon (Standard bearer for Christ) was NOT Italian, lo siento mi pizanos. He was from Portugal. I think that the fact that European Christians conquered Muslim lands and people and Muslims conquered European Christian people and lands feels different depending on which side of history we feel we identify most. Europe and Christiandome lost; Eastern Rome/Byzantium, Armenia is the Baltic, Hungry, France, Greece, Sicily, Iberia/Spain while Islamdome also lost land to Europe; India, the entire magrib/northern Africa, Malaya, the Philippines, Palestine, Syria/Lebanon, Iraq, Iran... The former Ottoman empire. This may not be the most comprehensive list of conquered lands between Christians and Muslims but it gets to the emotional point I'm trying to make that each side will see the other as the barbarian conqueror and will see themselves as the righteous conquerors.

That’s semantics: when you go in a new neighborhood and you say “I’ve discovered a new Chinese restaurant” you’re not claiming that nobody was there to begin with. So yes, Columbus discovered the Americas, before Americans even had the concept of exploration. And no, Muslims never crossed the Atlantic, no proof of that, only some exaggerated legends to pander to a Muslim population with a complex of inferiority… a justified complex I would argue.
