I always thought that lobsters were killed first. I was shocked when I learned that they're thrown alive into the boiling water. That's plain cruel!
you could kill them beforehand you even have a goddam lobster electric chair, but somehow people still think that you need to torture them first. i don't eat fish/ sea food because we are emptying our oceans but like with meat please be respectful and humane to the animal even if you are going to eat it.
Electric chair and freezing are I think most humane while freezing might be the worst of the two or a shift life to the brain are all better than boiling alive.

There's several ways, they actually die really fast if the water is boiling, and they're put in head first (which is what they're making fun of here). Other ways are to freeze them for 15-25 minutes prior to boiling, or use a food safe electric shock device on them before boiling. Their bodily bacteria multiplies fast, so they have to be in the boiler in as few minutes as possible.
