Thank you for all that you do. I have made quite a few purchases based on some of your gear reviews and haven't been let down. After your review of the Roaring Fire Slingshot i purchased one and love it. Great EDC bag! The pocket for a concealed carry was a major selling point for me.

It is proper to have a blade or tool in EACH pouch as that may be the only one you can grab in a situation. It has always been my ethos that all pouches must stand on their own benefits and merits and never rely on another out of reach pouch for a supplement. Great to hear from you as always!!

Your biggest prep is your health
My concern for flashlights is the current propensity for batteries to leak. May be better to keep the batteries in a plastic pouch or container until needed.
also put them in your freezer until you need them of course in a sealed container
Rechargeable or nothing. i don't know why anyone would want to rely on AA flashlights at this point.
I always rotate mine out every six months for stuff around the house or shop, Jan and June, its just a thing we do. Alkaline Battery powered stuff in my vehicles get rotated out every oil change.

Put a small zip tie around your bic underneath the fuel lever to keep it from being pressed down til you need it
That brass stake would also work well as a plumb bob.

In my humble opinion, all you really need to focus on is the knife being fixed blade, and good steel. Other than that, your knife is your choice. You get what you pay for, and typically good knives usually tend to run north of $50 bucks at the very minimum.
Ballistic nylon? Does that mean it will survive a grenade blast but you won’t?

You know, I was like you and in many ways I agree with buying American. But, right now America is at war! Get what you can to survive what is coming and already here! Stop worrying about buying out of the country! Everything costs double or triple what it cost before Brandon became "The Resident of the United States". Buy American if you can afford it!
