Glad I'm not the only one who hates viras moveset.
Viras moveset is super powerful, but still requires some bit of brain to use. Really stupid Viras die quickly to basic 5H poking.

Excellent guide. I feel like despite her reputation as a hard to learn character Cag is actually pretty approachable at a beginner level; her neutral tools are so strong and straightforward that you can win a lot of games even when you're still building the base of the pyramid, so to speak. I say this as someone who got to S rank with her not knowing the EX teleport was plus and not using the rock at all lmao
What a philosopher's stone of a video. Thanks to this, I gained a much better idea of playing Cagliostro than just fiddling about in the lab during ranked queue. Phenomenal.

Y'all new cag players are lucky. This guide is perfect, i spent hours in the lab learning this. To see it all come out in a nice format with the actual good stuff in there stings a bit.
Props to you Aco you're content is leagues above the rest. When can we get some Match reviews. We dont see Cag win a lot in tournament and i love to see more videos on why.

For defense, I find that cag has a fantastic reversal sweep. It's 7frames and is active for 5 frames. It's probably my favorite button in the whole game.
If possible you should show case Cag's Chip setups for post guard cancel. Also guard cancel them into the corner is a good chance for mix as you get a free trap. Similar to Combo Limit RC ender

I played a very small amount of the previous game and was playing cag but she seems to be a big winner with the rising transition, getting a reversal that isn't her entire super aswell as the brave counter makes her defense a lot better and the ultimate spikes seems great, the ultimate trap looks a bit silly though lol, just this big purple chonker on the field

I do want to double check though, did you know 66L can actually combo into c.M? It frame traps as well afaik. You have to be really close to the opponent to get it, but it's a great way to convert off of 66L pressure. Even if they block it, we can do anything we'd normally do after an autocombo.
you can connect c.M if your dash attack hits really deep, but cag's dash L is very stubby. This is why I recommend 5L which always connects.

Cag is easily one of my favorite characters that I want to play, I'm just conflicted cause since she's a stand of-ish character, I'm worried that if my other friends trying and get into the game, I'd be worried to fight them because I don't think they'd like fighting against cag and then they'd translate that into they don't like the game since they are new. It happened when I was trying to get them into skull girls and they stopped playing because I was playing peacock, I know she's a really good loner but she's also my favorite character, not through gamelan but just personality wise.

thanks! Alexandria is mostly just a combo ender! I wouldn't recommend it for much else!

I did want to try out Cag when Rising got out....Now I kinda have to XD
I'm having a lot of trouble with Gran's M Fireball (I assume it applies to any multihit HKD fireball): It beats uncharged rock, and it sort of feels like it beats calculated too with the HKD (I will get hit after Gran does and thus he will get up first and advance on me). This ends up with me being afraid to use either of these and just resorting to trying to play neutral by zoning with f.M / 2M, which feels low reward medium risk (a whiff puts me into strike throw hell, a hit / block just gets me back to trying to zone). The worst part is that he is not guaranteed to fireball of course, so he will also just rush me for free once I'm scared of it. How do you deal with this?

Love the Guide so far as a new Cagliostro player but I am confused by the controler at the bottom of the screen, how are you doing your specials? It seems to not show any of your inputs except for the L/M/H/U input?
Or at least only sometimes it seems? Very weird.
I use a mixture of simple inputs, and technical inputs!

I just had a thought, since this video is so long I spent portions of time listening to it without looking at the video. It would be effective if you had a very soft chime/sound play every time a tip comes up, so I know when to look at the screen. From one small content creator to the other 😊
thanks! I appreciate the feedback, but I feel with the amount of tips in the guide, a sound notification could get annoying! Also it's mostly a visual guide so I just assume most people are going to watch at a pace that works for them, that's why my guides are broken down into sections!
@@MisterAcolyteFair enough, there are definitely a lot in this one, especially in the combo section. Maybe if a different video it could work. That said, the total damage was covered in the combo section, which kinda sucked, but isn't the end of the world.
