00:24 - step 1: Clarifying shampoo
00:57 - step 2: Moisturising shampoo
1:30 - step 3: Deep conditioning (Nourishing Hair Mask) + steamer
2:57 - step 4: Leave-In conditioner (Silk Express Tropical Mist, Leave-in Spray)
3:12 - Step 5: Heat protectant (Wow Factor)
3:24 - Step 6: Serum (Olapex N°9, Nourishing Hair Serum, Bond Protector)
3:38 - Step 7: Blow dry damp hair
4:12 - Step 8: Flat iron hair
6:16 - Step 9: Silkening Serum (Platinum Gloss) followed by more flat ironing and ends bumping.
It came out so good!!! I'm going to attempt to press my own hair because my stylist increased her price to $195 for a silk press 😩
For $195, I need it to stay straight all year! 😮💨

I love it! The second I step outside, by hair frizzes up. Texas humidity.
So amazing. I suffered from heat damage and have been doing the work to get my curls back. Now that they are back I was scared to flat iron. I will try this!
Were you using quality leave ins and heat protectants?
Also invest in a great quality ceramic flat iron and be mindful of the temperature

Have you thought about incorporating bond treatments into your routine? It is very effective in preventing heat damage, olaplex has a good one.

@@playacabo6289while working out wrap your hair tightly. Work out per usual. Just don’t unwrap your hair until your body and scalp are fully dry and your hair will dry straight. Please try and lmk!

You can use peroxide to get rid of the bleach stains on the counter. If that is what it is now if it’s somehow turmeric? 🤷🏽♀️ thanks for this tutorial I want to try this!
With a straight natural' one reason why there isnt much shedding is because with straight hair, hair falls automatically, wherever.
No, everybody sheds 50-100 strands a day. Women with straight/straightened hair are more likely to comb their hair regularly, so they are releasing those 50-100 strands on a regular basis.
However curly haired women don't comb their hair unless it's time to wash. So when they finally comb it, they're seeing the accumulation of 1 or 2 weeks' worth of shed hair being released at once.

How long does your press last .. I'm going to attempt to do mine in the middle of summer in South Florida where the feels like temperatures 106° everyday with the actual temperature being 95 with the humidity of a thousand😅
how do you keep your silk press from getting puffy?
My same foundational process only I sometimes use a leave in & use the Kenra blow dry spray and CHI serum instead. Lightly finishing with the Kenra finishing spray. It works for well but now my hair is long and I can’t chase the back well. Smh

My hair type doesn’t allow me to have this type of hair and I tried so many videos trying to get it boneless and I’m even trying to get into heat but because I live in Arizona it’s super hot so my hair frizz back up😢😢😢😢. And I do my hair routine similar to yours so I don’t know what I’m doing wrong for mine to frizz back up or be really puffy

From practical experience, the sink isn’t the best place to wash your hair, when it’s at certain length. Reason is it clips off in the sink hole. Not that I feel it I just see it shorter after washing. Never after that observation. Wash in the shower ever since.

Is it Okay to do the deep condition without a steamer?😍❤️
Hello, If you're not able to get a steamer, there are other effective ways to heat up your deep conditioner in your hair.
One way is to
- wear a shower cap over your hair (right after apply the deep conditioner)
- heat up a sligtly damp towel in the microwave until it's warm (not hot).
- wrap that over the shower cap then
- cover it with another shower cap or a plastic bag even.
You should be good to go after leaving that for about 30 minutes at least
