Primrose had the best first chapter, Helgenish was such a hateable antagonist
I agree Primrose prologue was really good! Also the voice acting (especially Helgenish) was fantastic.

I started with H'aanit. I remember when I reached Tressa and began her boss battle, I was so scared to see that I had to defeat 2 bosses.

All of the human ones become huge, Russel was the one that suprised me the most
KBGMig GaMetal RULEZ!!! It was hilarious to me being that that was the first human boss I fought and I was wondering if he was actually that big compared to my characters.
It was probably to discern them a little more, having these epic looking characters as simple villager forms would suck...

And has one of the hardest boss fights when using full party, I bet the guardian is the hardest when Ophilia is the last one to be recruited

Man this game has such good boss battles, I dare to say it has some of the best boss battles I ever played because it requires planning and strategy, and it feels so rewarding... I am at chapter four now, beat all four advanced job bosses, sincerely, I don't want the game to end....

Yeah idk why, but the boss music seems to switch from Ver. 1 and 2 seemingly at random. Idk if there’s a reason as to why it sometimes plays V2 or not
Allegryan there’s a theory that the “non-evil” bosses (heathcote and the guardian, for example) get the second boss theme. Not really sure if that really applies to Gaston though.
Well, Gaston didn't really ask for his life, as seen after beating him, if that is how they actually place V1 and V2 it could be a hint that gaston isn't evil
I replayed the game and when I got to the blotted viper I spent all my JP on Empoison because I LOVE using it.
Yeah you can imagine how screwed I was without Rehabilitation
Chapter 3 was when I finally began having trouble with the bosses in this game.
I had trouble with them from the get go. There is SO MUCH grinding it’s unbelievable.

@@carterfranks9014 there really isn't that much grinding though? I only had to getting for about 30 mins for the harder chapter 3 guys.
y'all what the fuck are some of you on. i had to grin for atleast an hour for each chapter 3 boss. also has it really been 9 months since i beat the game? time flies.
@@carterfranks9014 there on nothing except know the mechanics of the game. If you know weakness and get good gear you can do fine without grinding.
I went in blind starting with Olberic without knowing Gaston's reputation, I thought it wasn't so bad, beat him at level 4 using 2 grapes, then I fought the blotted viper with Olberic and Alfyn...
now THAT is powerful
yup the viper is way harder than Gaston if you don't cure these status effects!
Its even worse that I didn't have the right ingredients to cure both at the same time, when I get the full game, Im fighting the Viper first.
KBGMig GaMetal RULEZ!!! I beat Russell with Cyrus with no problem. Then, The Guardian Of The First Flame was no problem, just long. But Ghisarma was a monster. He killed 2 people on the first turn.

My 4th character to get was primrose I also had Cyrus as my protagonist and tressa and olberic and even with all of that for some reason the boss for primrose was really hard and took me like 7 try’s
You really shouldn't use BP when breaking enemies. You want to save those for when they are broken so you actually have the means to damage them.
In a one on one battle, that seems best, but I think it might work strategically with a full party.
Also, sometimes you just really want to deny an enemy a powerful attack.
Not always. There are a few strategic plays in using them to break.
So my strategy of having one character lock down one enemy and have everyone else beat the hell out of them wasn't as good as I thought?
I usually use my BP to attack multiple times to break them.
I'm a bit late but not using bp to break is a great way to get your whole party wiped by galdera phase 1 and 2.
Ok, Russel re-summoned his ice spirit guards when I fought him. Was I just super unlucky to have to kill them twice?

that's a long ass demo if you're able to do every single prologue....wow. that's almost 8 hours depending on your speed.
Russell kicked my ass from here to the black hole in the virgo galaxy only 55 million light years away, until I realize how stupid I was and could boost magic instead of just the staff attack...this is the hardest JRPG i've ever played. I never had any fucking beginning boss kick my ass like this in any Final Fantasy game, ever. You can literally get down to near death very easily if you don't know what you're doing.
I get uncomfortable not being able to see the health bar of a boss in an rpg
Cause most my units die without warning and then I realize the boss just reached 3 quarters of it’s hp
Gaston has been the only boss in the game that killed me. I still have left 7 last chapters but I'm Overleveled and have the secret jobs.
Huh. I've been killed by only 3 bosses. Dreisang, who caught me off guard with that anti-buff, Runeblade, because of unconscious sleep, and Galdera. Because I messed up on who I was supposed to stop in phase 2.
I can't even beat the first boss of the game as ophilia... starting over and over
he is probably on of the hardest with Helgenish

What bothers me most about the battles is when the humans are bigger than your characters. I can get things like animals or the spirit things but when I see these huge humans towering over your characters it weirds me out. They should’ve made moderately sized sprites for your characters.

@@carterfranks9014 it's implied they look like that because of all the truama the main characters indured, this is proven in primrose's chapter 4 battles that it's all a mirage
@The Easton Bully Show Because it's a throwback to the old school days of Eastern RPGs, specifically the Final Fantasy series which almost always did this with their enemy/boss sprites.

Prologue bosses are the worst. Its only you, no friends or secondary jobs or powerful weapons etc. Its a headache.
