How can she have one beautiful tutorial after another..every SINGLE time!!! Love this 💗💞
Well the crochet world is filled with great stitches and beautiful yarns. Put those together and you have a beautiful piece! :)
Consistently. She's pretty amazing and creative!!!!
It’s got to be just me because all the comments I read they said it was easy to follow. It was up until I started the repeat, then I was lost. I’m so embarrassed. I have made SEVERAL of Crystals tutorials and always easy to follow, even on repeats rows. Maybe I will just watch it again and see if I want to try again. The yarn is not helping either, so delicate and thin. Shouldn’t have started to use this yarn but it’s so pretty.
You did well to use this yarn for the pattern. It really allows for the stitch definition to shine. What a great finished product!
It does look like Owl eyes. Love the shawl.
You're right. It does look like owl head and eyes. Great job as always. 🤗😇
Mrs.BOD you are truly Talented!! it takes me months to finish 1 project. you do 1 a day!!! YOU ARE AWESOME!!!
That's what it looked to me, too, Crystal, even before I knew the name! Beautiful!
My daughter is going to love this shawl. I predict the granddaughters will want one as well. LOL
OMG GIRL, the best compliment that I can think of for you is ' Your mind and hands are mind-blowingly 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 bloody amazing 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍'.
I LOVE ❣️ YOU AND YOUR WORK, ESPECIALLY YOUR SHAWLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gorgeous shawl! Thank you for the easy to follow tutorial.
This is such a beautiful Shawl Crystal. Thank you for teaching it to us. Simply Gorgeous. God Bless Y'all.
Beautiful. This yarn really shows off the stitches. You make those bpdc look so easy and I really struggle with them. Thank you for the tutorial
I have a formal function to go to in NYC in a few weeks. I need to make this shawl to go with my dress. Gorgeous pattern.
I have yarn that is close to the English Rose. Didn't know what I was going to do with it. I just saw this new patter from you and now I am knowing what I will do with it. This "owl" pattern. Yours is so pretty. Thank you for your design. It's terrific.
This is gorgeous. I just ordered 627 yds. of Malabrago for the 1st time. Now I know what I'm going to make. I also love Owls, well maybe obsessed with owls is a better word. Thanks Crystal ❤🧶🦉🦉🦉
So pretty. I'd love to see someone wearing it.
For years and years I have been with you. And you are awesome So talented So creative doesn’t matter what you make from Doilies to Shaw’s to ponchos to sweaters to dresses to socks you name it you’ve done it and you are phenomenal
Owls are my favorite!
You made a beautiful shawl with a pretty pattern and a wonderful yarn. Georgeos.♥♥♥
I love the texture in this shawl
Crystal is a Creative Genius
I absolutely love the shawl! I can’t wait to make this. I will have to find the perfect yarn for this one. Oh darn! I guess I have to go shopping! 🤣🤣 As always, thank you for sharing this beautiful tutorial! You are just the best !! ❤️🧶❤️🧶
Gorgeous!!! Just now started to make one. I'm using the color Hot pink!!!
❤❤BAG-O-DAY-SQUAD❤❤
TY Crystal for another fabulous Crystal Original Design. 👏 🤩
Beautiful, Crystal!!! Thanks for sharing!!! Have a good night!!!
What a stunning shawl. I love that you have used a non-stripey yarn for it, the pattern can talk for itself. Definitely putting this on my must do list. Thank you Crystal.
Your speed of crocheting blows my mind!
I always struggled with the virus shawl. I will try this, plus I love owls. Thank you 🙂
This is such a beautiful shawl! The virus stitch is one of my favorites because it’s so simple but so elegant. I love the addition of the back post stitches to give it a bit more depth. I can’t wait to try this one out! ❤️🧶
You were not confusing - you made this so easy and clear😊
Hi Crystal
I love this design it is very pretty and that colour makes it pop! Just lovely.
Have a blessed day 🙏🏽 Take care 🧶💗😊
I am addicted to your blog and most of your videos. Just started this one but should have used a 3 weight yarn the 4 weight is not hanging as softly as I would like. Your tutorials are so easy to follow. Thanks so much. You make crocheting fun and contagious. I am having to hide my yarn purchases in the car so my husband does not see them and then sneak them into the house.
This pattern is so easy to follow.
Beautiful stitch, alas, I knit. 🧶 Thanks for spreading beauty!
She's another BOD beauty!👌😍🇬🇧
Omg! This shawl is gorgeous! Can’t wait to try this out! Thank you Crystal, you’re the best teacher!
🧶❤️💜💕🍎
I was thinking of an owl too!!! I think I'm going to make it in a brown variegated yarn. 😁💖💖💖
It's beautiful! Love the name. I thought of owls when I saw it.
Very easy to follow along with you, Crystal!! Can't wait to start this one!! 💜💜💜
Thought it might be a difficult project but turns out to be quite a easy one.
And i'm making a few shawls as christmas gifts.
Crystal, thanks for your effort in making these videos.
Sold…..I’m making this shawl…..beautiful
Beautiful. I'm a beginner. But learning to front post. Whenever I get the hang of it I will definitely try this. Awesome work.
Beautiful! Beautiful! Love the design of this shawl and love the yarn you used. And I love owls!!! Thank you, Crystal, for sharing this beauty. Stay safe & much love to you and the BOD fam! 💕🤗💕
Gonna have to try this. Looks so pretty
Hello Crystal, you are very talented. The shawl came out gorgeous.
This is SOOOOOOOO lovely!!! I have the PERFECT yarn in my stash!!!! This will be next on my list!!!!
Thanks Crystal!!!
Crystal gorgeous shawl and gorgeous colour
The shawl is gorgeous Crystal!
This is truly a gorgeous shawl! Thank you for sharing it with us. I am excited to make it. I have some Malabrigo I have been saving for a special project. This will be perfect.
Woohoo Crystal ‼️ Let's do this ‼️‼️‼️‼️
This is one of your greatest master piece. As soon as I can by some of the yarn you used to make it, I will try to make it. I want it to have the best look possible and it must have the right yarn to do so. Thank you Crystal.
Very beautiful Crystal! Another added to my list. I’ll catch up eventually. Lol. Thank you 🙏
Beautiful shawl. I like to use size 1, 2 and 3 weight and I bet it will be beautiful in those yarns
This is so cool what you did to modify the virus stitch, creating that stunning ridge. I love it! I'm definitely going to make this one for sure. I'm making shawls & lap blankets for a nursing facility where my brother is at, where he is waiting to die. I'm trying desperately to find yarn I can use to do all this. I'm disabled too, in a wheelchair, unable to walk til I can have my hip replaced. So, I have time to just sit & crochet. TV has become so boring. I've found that I'd rather be busy doing something & listen to music. Anyway, I've been checking Goodwill, OfferUp & Craigslist for free or cheap yarn because I have no income, no money, but I do have time. It's so hard to just sit & do NOTHING with your life when there are still useful things I can do, IF I can find the supplies. If anyone has any new suggestions for finding yarn, please let me know. I'd really appreciate it & please be nice. I don't need to be ridiculed or made to feel worse than I already feel. Thank you in advance for any kindness. I know that the crochet community that Crystal has created & is a part of should most all be kind people. I did see what happened to her on her 1 million celebration party video, so I do realize that there are extremely cruel & very wicked people out there too. Crystal did NOT deserve that! Crystal, you are an AMAZING talented lady & I'm so very thankful & I feel very blessed to have been able to join into this beautiful crochet community that you have built fir the last TEN years. That is AMAZING all in itself!!! I Praise God that I found your channel because it stirred up a desire in me to crochet again. I haven't crocheted since I was VERY young & that was a VERY long time ago. I'm now old. I'm now disabled in several ways so, yes, I feel quite decrepit & useless!!! But now that I found your channel & you have made everything look so easy so that even dummy me could maybe really do it... WOW!!! I got busy with what little yarn I had & you know what? I CAN DO IT!!! YEAH!!! Shocking!!! I'm NOT useless after all. I can still do something for someone & that is an awesome feeling. Thank you Crystal so much for sharing SOOOOOOOO MAAAAAAAANY videos & tutorial patterns. You ROCK!!! I may ONLY be just one of your MILLION subs, but I LOVE YOU for all that you are doing! And I'm quite sure that there are about 999,999 others that feel the same way or at least close to it. I'm a super fan of yours. I can't afford to become a member or buy merch or anything else & I'm soooooooo sorry for that. I truly wish I could. If I had money I certainly would. Well, you can always tell you are hearing from a lonely OLD person because we never know when to end our typing, LOL. I will end now. Much love to you & your family. Congrats on your 1 million!!! You deserve ALL the very best!!! 🐾💕✝️💕🐾
Can’t wait to try this one. Thanks again Crystal.
After finishing 4 Lost Souls Shawls, I was ready for something different. My daughter loves Halloween & owls so this Bird of the Night shawl seemed perfect.
I used Loops & Threads Facettes yarn in the colourway “Brilliant”.
Used @700 yards total for 8 repeats using a hook size 6.5
Thank you, Crystal 🦉
I just made this with a deep red, fuzzy wool and it turned out so beautiful! 🖤🖤 it’s quickly a favourite 🖤
It's a beautify shawl i love to play your videos while i crochet so i can get inspired and see if i think i am capable of making it. I recommend watching a tutorial all the way through before picking up a hook so you don't put it down halfway through after realizing it gets too complex, although your tutorials are always very user friendly and easy it makes life better watch it all first, and of course watch the ads!! It's a way of showing your host you appreciate them and it costs you nothing to do!
Oh my goodness Crystal, it's just stunning. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful shawl with all of us. So very talented 😍
Wow I love this. as soon as I saw it I thought ..wow! that looks like owl eyes down the middle haha and then you went ahead and told me that's exactly what you thought it look right so that's why you're named it bird of the night. 😍💕 you know I'm 60 and I've never worn or made a shawl, or even a scarf. I guess it just gets too hot where I am in Western Australia and in the wintertime I don't really feel the cold, we don't get snow here in the eastern parts of Australia they do. maybe I will make one for my dear 85 year old mum who sadly has dementia, but I'm lucky I've still got both parents. 🤗😍💕🇦🇺💕
Oh dearheart youve done it again!!! I absolutely love this virus stitch and all your variants just to die for, keep up your amazing work.thanks
Thanks crystal gorgeous shawl. Love the yarn and colour. So lovely. Your so. Creative. ❤❤❤
Beautiful pattern and beautiful colour of yarn!
That is one gorgeous shawl! It looks like a Christmas present to me....
You have given us so many nice things to crochet. These will be nice for winter months. Thankyou for such great instructions. This is beautiful
Pretty stitch. Gorgeous color.
Wow what a beautiful shawl, will go on my list of projects. Need to do a basic shawl first. Crystal you make it look so easy. Thank you so much.
I wanted to stop in and really thank you for this video. I just adore this pattern. It may well be the most beautiful I ever made. And so easy and quick to do.
When I finish mine (in a medium blue) I'll be making my sister in law one in a bright orange colour she loves.
She's been having a hard time lately and those are the times when you need people to take time for you and make you something beautiful
❤
Oh, and the time stamps really helped too. I appreciate you adding that in 😊
This is so beautiful, remindse of 🦉 owls. Love it
Beautiful clear, precise instructions and wonderfully demonstrated as always. Ne er any co nfusion with your tutorials. Such a gorgeous shawl love it ❤. Thank you Crystal 🥰💖
Shes amazing
Thank you so much for the pattern. This will be my first shawl. It’s a beautiful pattern. You are very talented!
Beautiful❣ Perfectly named🦉
ooh I love this. I am going to make this for my sister for Christmas. This will be Summer here in Western Australia. She and her poodle sit on their front verandah and this will be great for wrapping around them both. (I will make it large enough for them both). May even make a tiny one for the poodle, bandana size.
SO BEAUTIFUL Crystal. My,my another great tutorial /pattern. 👌
Beautiful! Thank you, Crystal!
Beautiful shawl pattern. Thank you for sharing. 💜🙏🏻
So easy and it looks amazing ♥️🧶👏🏻
I can't wait to start mine❣️ I have a couple of things I must finish before starting anything else.
Thank you for these recommendations! I've never owned any of these, but would love to😂.
Beautiful Shawl.
You are so talented and you keep us going with all your beautiful tutorials.. can't wait to finish the wrap I am working on and start this one. This is so good for Christmas gifts . Thanks Crystal
I love this so much i'm struggling through it and fighting each row to make it,lol. I couldn't begin to say how many times i've had to rip out rows to get the stitch count right lol. I WILL get this done lol. I can't put it aside as I'll forget what i've done before. Might be awhile before I pick up any of my other wips again. It's a real challenge but I guess that's what makes it worth my time. Thanks Crystal, for taking me out of my comfort zone.
These repeat rows are, as another said, really hard to follow as I can’t grasp the how to tell the reduction from three 4 chain spaces to three to two to one. I can’t seem to see them reduce from row to row. I’ll just keep frogging back to row four til I see it 😂.
Just what I was looking for. Crystal you’re the best!
Absolutely love ❤ this shawl. Gorgeous 🦋
Love the look of this!
You are so good. I don't normally do a 4-row repeat (too complicated for this 71 year old brain). But started this one--not too hard to remember. I am doing it with Hobbii yarn, Carnival #5 (blues) & am really liking it. Thanks!
Oh my, what a pretty “showl”!
I am making this shawl with Butterfly from Hobbii, the gray one. Color 5. I love to chrochet with this yarn. Thank you for a nother yet beautiful tutorial.
Very alluringly sweet them and design! I can't wait to make one or two!!
Oh my gosh! This is beautiful!! I cant wait to make it for my Mom
That is a gorgeous shawl, like the color way.
It’s not just the eyes but it also looks like the owl’s nose/beak! So cute!
When you finished the first repeat and set it on the table, I thought it could a bib necklace, if that's what they're called. Gorgeous shawl, Crystal.
Wow Crystal, you've really outdone yourself! I absolutely love this shawl! 🧡🧡🧡
Superb shawl! The owl-eyes are adorbs. Your instructions are clear and easy for me to understand. I’m making snow owls in “Pound of Love,” Antique White. 🎉 🦉
Stunning. I love this stitch. Love your tutorials.
Lovely … you’re so right about the owl, looks great … trying this with heavier yarn than I’m used to for a virus shawl, with the gauge 4 and “J” hook next time
What a beautiful take on the virus stitch. I just love the texture and the yarn you chose is perfect! Well done!
This shawl is a work of art, Crystal. And, the yarn you chose is lovely.
That is so beautiful. I will be adding this to my list of things I want to make.
