Because wilder fury wasn’t a one sided fight. Besides that, wilder vs fury was a much more anticipated fight, which means: the more drama, the more exciting, but that’s just a side note. The real reason is that Tyson fury actually stood a chance.
After all, don’t compare Tyson fury to this garbage, who has this unknown fighter even fought ? Trying to discredit Yardes record, at the end of the day, Yarde got another W on it.

Black Bond if u read the rule book for boxing it says that is is upon the referees discretion in certain circumstances. The referee in fury vs wilder 1 is a different referee in the Yarde vs spellman fight. Also there was still around 20seconds in the round so Yarde would probably would have finished him off or if spellman survived then in rd 7 Yarde would then most likely finish spellman off.

Yarde certainly looked sharper in the final round and was busier putting the pressure on Spelman. That being said I think Spelman should have being given a few more seconds to gain some composure and continue the fight, the result may have being the same but it was a bit early. Arguably Spelman was in better shape than Kovalev who was allowed to continue and stop a gassed out Yarde.

Really good fight, Dec came to fight and did well. Yarde had sparks of fluidity, I haven't seen that before with him, maybe thats what he needs to excel. Well done Yarde! 🦁 🥊

What happened to Spelman at 17:28? Was he winded or something when he backed off? 🤔

  • @Vlamon

Terrible refereeing, to me Spelman goes down to breath a bit and get a short break, a "strategic knockdown" in other words, but he was 100% aware and able to fight.
