- My favorite 7 series is back, this time its getting a bunch of new parts to get it back on the road! We found some wheels off an E65 7 series and also bought all new rotors, brake pads, front control arms, hood and trunk struts, and a few other things to get the E38 740i back on the road again! The BMW Style 95 wheels look amazing on the E38 body style and I am so glad we went with them. If I end up keeping this car, you will definitely see it back on the channel again!

Just FYI, the balljoint on the thrust arms are toasted as well. I didn't see the bushing end, but this piece here is a major contributor of the steering wheel shimmy, usually around 55-60mph speed.

Are those ball joints replaceable on the control arm? can you press the ball joint out? almost looks like you can?........ also, if you put pressure underneath the ball joint ( I use a jack to put just enough lift on it to tighten the nut) in some cases when I can fit a giant set of pliers in, that will do it too. Also, those wheels look sweet!
Yes, IF you have a hydraulic press or a similar tool? If not, good luck with that.

1 1997 Z3 1.9 project, money pit and it stillneeds a new interior, paint and CARB catalytic converter.
1 2001 330i painted but hit and ran so it needs paint again and an O2 sensor.
1 2005 330i ZHP needs paint and detailing and an oil pan gasket
1 2008 528i that needs a firmware update and maybe another set of vanos solenoids
And a 2001 4x4 DC Tacoma that doesnt need shit!
I still love them all equally, even though the BMWs are money pits!!! Lol.

Monroe OESpectrums are much under-rated. They really are quite good and have lasted for 5 years on my e39 Sport (M-Tec springs). They are made in Spain and quality control is obviously decent.
