Hi everyone!
Welcome to another design video.
This one is all about designing a wardrobe on sketchup.
Ill show you my completed drawing at the beginning, then I will start a new drawing and draw the whole wardrobe out from start to finish.
I go through everything youll need to do this yourself, and talk about it as I go along.
I talk about angles, door sizes, shelf thicknesses, trim sizes, everything....

Thanks for your videos man, super simple to understand especially for someone like myself that’s not expert in softwares.
Appreciate it 🙏🏻
Great to hear!
Always great content Ryan
Thank you very much indeed 😊👍👍👍
Hello Ryan, This is probably the best demonstration of Sketch Up I've ever seen. Nice one mate, hope you're going well 👍
Thanks Robin thats really appreciated!
I'm doing really well cheers, I hope you are too 😊
@@thelondoncraftsmanworkshop all good too cheers mate 👍
@LOTEN1977 That's good to hear 😊👍
Excellent video as always. Many thanks
Thank you very much! I do appreciate you saying 😊👍
The extra lines that you have to delete after using push/pull are because of where you started the lines that you added at 9:39: you should start the line at the corner of the inner box, rather than starting part way down the side.
Btw, this is actually one of the clearest tutorials I've seen about SketchUp.
Thank you for the tips 👍👍👍
And for the compliment too, that's cool 👍
Excellent video - Ive watched loads on sketchup and this is up there with the best - simple and easy to follow. I would love to see how you would go about adding drawers into your sketchup designs. If you could demo that then i think i would have enough info to tackle my own project. Keep up the good work 👏
Thank you!
Yes sure, I'll definitely keep this in mind for the near future 100% 👍
Mate this video is amazing. Thank you so much for the mention. Just a quick one. On the door where it’s half overlay is that door the same width as the other doors. I’ve never used those hinges
Hi mate!
A bit late sorry!
Yes they are all the same width, I just placed the division in the right place to allow for that type of hinge.
I think my last hinge video will explain in more detail

Cheers mate!
Rather than saving multiple versions of the file when you add doors, you should use Components: these allow you to group things together, so you can draw more things next to them without changing things in other components. E.g. your carcass is one component, the doors are another. You can also show/hide individual components too, i think, so you can easily see without doors again.
Thank you!
I was just keeping it simple though.
I've tried the components thing before and is a little long winded for me hence them being just visuals 👍
Nice tutorial!
Thanks mate 👍
Great video thanks for posting. Presume you know the double click will push/pull back to the previous push/pull depth.
Thank you, and no I did not know this... thank you this will save a load of time ⏲️ 👍👍👍
Pleasure. Only works for the second and subsequent push/pulls. ie set the depth for the first one and assuming you don’t change tool each subsequent ones just double clicking in the space pushes back to the same depth.
Two great videos in a row, keep it up!
Amazing thank you!!!
Exactly what I needed. Thanks
That's fantastic!! 👍
Another Great video - well done.
Merci beaucoup 👍👍
j'attends avec impatience ta vidéo hebdomadaire!
@londonnurse je te comprends bien, ton francaise est tres bonne
@@thelondoncraftsmanworkshop Dieu merci pour Google !
Do you leave a small gap between the wall to wall measurement and the carcass size ? Thanks for the video , very helpful
Hi yes as shown in the video when describing thr trims, I leave 35mm void either side and 50mm top and bottom 👍
Thank you for sharing all your vids are great!! Could you recommend a online course for beginners to learn sketchup ?
Thank you! I can't help you there I'm afraid, but I will be making more of these in the upcoming months 👍
I love sketch up but for personal use it’s sooo expensive. Is there a way to get it cheaper?
I didnt think it was paid.
Google sketchup free, or trimble free. I'm sure there are free versions 👍
just out of interest. how much would you charge roughly for such a design? keep up the great vids
Happy to let you know this in a DM 👍
Thank you Ryan 👍
