77 every day of the week. Am I the only one who didn't like John singing Pistols songs in a PiL fashion as he did during the comeback?...
dean nelson don't think he did, just the way his voice changed he's untrained so it's natural, he has great vocal control for someone untrained
dean nelson i like all the versions, but my favorite is the 96 one,
it's not so much a 'pil fashion' as it is the fact that his voice was completely shot after 1978, always going into falsetto which was the PIL sound. There's a live version of some shoddy incarnation of PIL in 82 i think, where you can see him singing it pistols style and his voice is cracking and going higher all the time.
It’s obviously John singing with his PIL voice in the reunion tour and it’s awful. In fact, Jah Wobble playing PiLs songs without John is much better. Lyndon should have stuck to his original angry Pistols voice as he morphed it into an annoying whine.
He definitely got way better as a vocalist, he has an incredibly powerful voice nowadays.

Why jump from 78 to 96? ...PIL played anarchy in the UK on the The Tube tv show in about 84 - it's on youtube.
