I cant help but notice how dry the surrounding area compared to the lush green and blue waters in the property. As much as I love how beautiful the house cant help but feel sad of a clear divide.
Could you elaborate please? What is it that you feel sad over?
This mansion is located in a desert.
The dry areas surrounding it are vacant lots for homes to be built on
no need to be sad, everybody is rich af in the surrounding areas.
The Coachella Valley has large underground aquifers that feed the suburban towns and mansions, the water wouldn’t otherwise hydrate the land above ground if not tapped into by humans.
The landscape would legitimately cost more then the house itself. Whatta beauty 👌🏻

Beautiful private estate but just another example of excess. Seriously who or what family needs or even uses all that space. Yes a bit outdated but still nice.

If you forget something (e.g. keys or a phone charger) on one end of the property, you gotta go all the way across just to retrieve something so small.
Frankly, if you can afford a house like that, you can afford more than one phone charger. Or you can afford to have a maid deliver it to you, from the house.
@@harleygould7255 Can you imagine all the full-time staff required on a daily basis to maintain the place? The security requirements must be enourmous. You'd need a fleet of golf carts for daily transport.

Imagine cleaning and maintaining it.
You'd need a crew of at least 10 people weekly to come deal with the landscaping alone. Interior, you'd need a butler, a couple maids, laundress, cook, Kitchen assist..... And to have all those people in your house, you'd need to lock up the silver, etc....But not to worry, you wouldn't be there much, because you'd have to work your ass off, to pay for all that.....
@@harleygould7255 quite the contrary people with homes like this aren't worried about cost of maintenance that's understood going in. It's not impossible to find on occasion someone whom with a home like this would be way in over their head, but not as much as you think believe me they already know maintaining something like this is a million/per year or better

If a mansion of $1 like this exist ill happily stay what ever it cost even if supernatural activities exist it cant stop me....
The other house to it's right at 0:33 has a better/more modern look.

I too, came here to comment how this property is surrounded by desert. Sure doesn't seem like it was designed to be site specific. Not very "Architecture " -like. This property can be dropped anywhere and it will be the same.
I've seen smaller and friendlier hotels.

Thousands of dollars for maintenance of this mega structure and sprawling lawns..... thousands of dollars for army of staff to maintain it. Thousands more for cleaning equipment and materials. Gosh!
But why there is so much in intensity sunlight .i would turn into water by sweating if I live there ...I know there would be air conditioner in house but it just for inside the house but waht about outside...
Nice yard. upkeeping would be a nightmare though. you can't rebuild this house for 7 million (the price it was sold 7 years ago).
This is going to be flattened when the big one goes off in the Coachella valley in the next 30 years. We are already 300 years overdue for a major quake centered right there that would cause damage all over Los Angeles. Is it even possible to insure something like this? Not to mention the obscene waste of water.

The shot at :32 puts it in perspective. The property to the left has THREE huge homes on the same amount of land. On the other side - it is one huge house and LOTS of open property. But the only thing the title house here doesn't have is a lazy river! 650 feet from the street to the back wall. Not too shabby.
