My renewal this year was £900+ from £270 last year. 25 years claim free too. They couldn't give me a reason either, just a couple 'guesses' as to why.

In order to make a fraudulant insurance claim against another driver you need to know their info so you have to stop whether legit or not.
Don't tailgate and you might just avoid such a scam. If they reverse you better have had a dash cam.

Thinkware U3000 dashcam is pricey, but it's an amazing camera. I just got one a couple weeks ago. I upgraded from a Vantrue camera that was nothing but problems.

Two things: If you look more carefully, you can see the driver is pulling over, out of traffic. Second, the car was still stopped after waiting for the driver in front of them. They weren't backing up. The person with the dashcam slammed into a stopped car that was clearly visible on an onramp. No question of fault. I presume the driver knew they were at fault because the captions says "Whoops, a gentle tap". An obvious attempt at minimizing their culpability.

Don’t matter the insurers look at who’s at fault and even if it’s a scam who over hit the back is at fault as you should always leave enough distance between you and the car in front for compensation due to injury you should only get a pay out if you loose time off work as health care is free and if your on benefits like the people in the video will be they shouldn’t get a penny
