As a Penguins fan, I don't think Pittsburgh will ever come out with a blue alternate jersey again. I believe Mario Lemuex has stated that they won't bring them back simply because too many players got injured while wearing them as alternate jersey (i.e. Sidney Crosbey) and he feel that blue is cursed for the Penguins now.
Also he wont bring back back robo penguins bc he hates it

as a Pens fan my hands down favourite is the light blue alternate, might be the best jersey of all time. the 2011 winter classic alternate one is a close second for me, i own this one. bought it to wear on a whim on my way to the stadium to see the pens play the devils in new jersey
Tonight I watched a documentary on Pittsburgh Penguins on the team's CZcams channel called "Pittsburgh is Home | 50 Years of the Pittsburgh Penguins, presented by Vitalant". It is long but worth the time to watch, interesting stories

just stumbled upon a black penguins 1991 blank, no patches, mint condition....strictly CCM sz 52))) a couple years back; guy was nice enough to let me have it for 100 usd, so I'm extremely partial/particular and do not like any other pens uniform from any other season if its not 90 to 92!

As a diehard Penguins fan i was waiting for this. And clicked as soon as i saw it. Sorry I just saw it now since I dont have too much time on my hands with having a full time job. And work 8 hrs a day. The robo jersey is the best in my opinion.
As a pens fan myself my favorite is the 95 alternate robo penguin. Still have mine. I bought the 2008 WC before it was a WC from a Canadian website. Was really upset when it became “mainstream” with a WC release. Also feel the panthers ripped that style for their alternate as well.
Pretty sure the Flyers are next as they entered the league the same time as Pittsburgh.
i think my favorite is the reverse retro. i get the beefy penguin AND the word mark which reminds me of that snoop dogg video.
The 08 winter classic is my favourite it needs to comback in adidas I would buy it. Keep up the amazing work
5:09 those are my favorite jerseys as a Rangers fan, and the best in Penguins history. It's the only other jersey besides the Rangers that pulled off the diagonal lettering well. And the Penguins logo is stellar and sleek looking. The current logo is too "cartoony" to me. Glad Pittsburgh is finally bringing back those jerseys in 23-34. The problem though is they'll never switch to them full time because the Penguins won their Cups with the cartoony logo.
That's not the only reason we hate the Robo Penguin......
i hope pittsburgh never changes their colors again because i think it is so cool that all pittsburgh teams are black and yellow. also i love the logo on the yellow alt jersey more than the current with the triangle, and i think they should put the 90s logo on the shoulders it would be badass

As a penguins fan I honestly hate the robo pen logo on the front of jerseys. I think the logo should only ever be a shoulder patch and a secondary logo. It’s what it was to me when I started watching hockey in 2003. I like the gradient jersey as an alternate I just hate the robo pen on the front of it.
They should bring back the robo-penguin logo as a shoulder patch like they did with their 1st version of the Vegas gold uniform
Penguins being my favorite team. I think their current jerseys are the best. Both the 2008 & 2011 winter classics are fantastic. Love their original diagonal word marking. I also love the current 3rd jersey. I hated the “Vegas” gold color and the design that Reebok did was horrible. Anything robo penguin sucks to me. I have a few of them and the one that you liked the most, I have a Jaromir Jagr in that one. I have an authentic Lemieux black diagonal jersey and an authentic Darius Kasparaitis white robo penguin. I didn’t care for the reverse retro at first, but when I bought one it was way better in person.

The Vegas Gold ones that they wore from 2002-2007 (the better style one as you put it)... it was actually Vegas Gold. The actual Jerseys were Shiny... so it was nice. It became the Beige/shit brown Color when Reebok changed all the styles to the tight fitting jerseys... the ones that you ranked one lower.

My favorite Pens jersey in franchise history has got to be the classic black jerseys that they resurrected back (CCM & Reebok versions- don’t really dig the stupid half collars on the current Adidas ones)!
I figured all the font jerseys would be the bottom. I thought the reverse retro was from 93.
Edit: You're number 1 is the only one with the robo penguin logo I like. Those robo penguin logo always reminds me of wasted potential and almost losing the team.

Actually the pens alternate jersey is based on the yellow away jersey they wore in 1981 before they switched to the white, instead of being based on the stadium series. And I agree, as a pens fan I hated the jersey when they released it but I loved it when I saw them play in it in person and had to get it for myself. 🐧
I have one of those yellow adidas alternates and I liked it a lot when I first got it but once I wore it and had it a while I started to not like it. And I also have 3 of those gradients that you have listed number one. A jagr a kasparaitis and a blank those are my favorite

Can't show pics of real jerseys anymore? How is it different from when you rank every home or away jersey in the league? You have real pics in those videos
Do your research and make sure that you know when each jersey was introduced and how long it was worn. It's not that difficult to do, and if you want to call yourself a hockey jersey CZcamsr, you'll get it right.

I did look up the dates and years, but that still leaves room for error. Some of the sites I looked at had conflicting information. That's why I invited the Penguins fans to correct any mistakes in the comments, as also a way to interact with them after the video was over too.
