It‘s also unfathomably well optimized, the only game i‘ve witnessed staying consistently below 4GB vram at 4k with Max settings. Granted, some things do look outdated when viewed very close, but overall it looks phenomenal.

If you're gonna make a barren world with literally nothing in it for miles but ground, THIS is how you do it. I'm looking at you, Starfield.
Starfield is a terrible game but tbf Mad Max could get away with it because of how fast paced and action focused the gameplay was. You spend half your time in the car speeding around. Starfield was a game all about gun combat, on foot exploration and talking to npcs. A games environment must be very occupied, vibrant and interesting to make that kind of gameplay not boring asf. Mad Max is a game that literally requires never ending nothing land to allow the amazing car combat to actually work. It's a gameplay style that is actually suited to a dead landscape. Starfield wasn't.

@@patrickbatman141 the funny thing is that they didn’t even take the gun combat into consideration. It’s very weak and exploration was the soul focus of the game and as you just described, it was very bland to explore. The game very desperately needed a vehicle.
I wish they would've made a part 2 of this magnificent game.
Not sure about a part 2. But hideo kojima says mad max "is his bible" and george miller said he is more than happy for kojima to make a game if he chose to. Idk, I hope the stars align lads

This game's devs didn't consult George Miller for anything in the process so he isn't very fond of the idea of producing games anymore unless Hideo Kojima makes it

I swear to good so many people would trash on a great movie for the dumbest reason available to them and also praise meaningless dogshit because "it looks cool"
Imagine they make a sequel where you can play the campaign with your friends and do convoy raids together. One could be driving while the others could be the lancer or borders and they put War rig style convoys they have huge amounts of loot. And the option to do multiplayer where it could be player based factions squaring off against each other. Hell being able to drive with all your mates all with their own custom post-apocalyptic cars would be fucking phenomenal, there would be a whole new level of combat systems to implement. So much potential for a sequel. I hope the new Furiosa movie helps to bring more attention to the franchise where we could get another game such as this gem.

Yo i was thinking the same thing, i said that in the sequal they should have huge war rig size convoys with hundreds of cars behind them that you can take out and you can jump from car to car and tale them out and you can hop oj the war rig and steal it and in the multiplayer you can buidl up your community and huge camps and you have to drive the war rig places in huge convoys to collect gasoline and bullets and make deals with other districts and while delivering or going to get gas or bullets other online players and npcs can try to take out your convoy and they need the make the war boy ai insane snd have them spray the chrome on them and they do crazy stunts and also have them do multiple ways to sacrifice themselves like jumping off the rig with the thunder poons like in fury road
I never realized how impressive the AI is in this game. You could see one of those last two trucks actually protect the convoy truck from being hit toward the end of the chase, for example.
It is impressive, you can see each one of them have different strategy, the ones with war boys will try to approach you to get war boys onboard, the ones with flamethrower will try to stay ahead of you and zone you away from convoy, the armored ones will try to shield the convoy from player's attacks...
@patcheslapp660 Yes, that is the job they are programed for, so it only makes sense. I'm referring more to it's ability to adapt to a situation and intentionally take a hit from a deadly weapon for the lead truck. You could see it speed up and maintain it's speed where the player was aiming. I love seeing clever AI implemented, instead of being focused on killing the player character at all costs.
Finally made it to Gas Town. I only paid $5.47USD for this game on Steam. Great deal. I noticed in real-life that my speed while driving was averaging about 5 to 10 mph more. Cool.
The Mad Max 2015 game is so underrated, it’s so much fun! Captures the vibe of the movies perfectly, just an excellent open world game, love driving around the map. 👏👏👏👏
Killer driving. Looks like you’re one with the road. It’s too bad you can’t respawn everything once you 100% the game, this makes me want to beat the game and save as much content for after the story

It's weird, considering when you start a brand new game after already having beaten the story on another save, it actually gives you Max's Jacket and Shotgun from the get-go in the new game.
@@maxm.m.7219 yeah thats about the only thing they give you as a new game plus, but in the cutscenes the shotgun does not show, its like max is holding an invisible shotgun smh.
Loved this game and getting the platinum was probably the most satisfying I’ve ever gotten, hope the new movie inspires a new game or sequel

Opening part literally looked like a cutscene it was that cinematic this game was very underappreciated by me on release cos mgsv TPP was released and I now realise this game is a gem after rebuying it and playing it properly, it's now in my top favourite open world games, the graphics even look better than some games we get now and I feel like the wastelandish theme helped them put more into gameplay and graphics because they didn't need many assets or objects in the environment because of it great game and definitely worth the money if you see this comment buy it now on xbox as its on a deal but even full price this is worth it and I hope the sudden burst of interest in the game helps them make a sequel

I'll try to make interceptor videos, but it'll take time. Because I already defeat all convoy teams, so I have to play from the beginning. 😭
@@RedDolittle you could do other stuff with the interceptor even though you defeated all the convoys! I just 100% all the side quests. Games addicting always something to do!

This game would always be so goddamn photogenic. Towards the end of the game, I'd always end up stopping every 20 mins to enter camrra mode.

On my second play through now, this time I tore through the main story to get the Interceptor, and doing all the convoys as well. It's a lot more challenging, and just badass with the actual Max mobile. I do love the magnum opus, too, but it's kinda easy mode on the convoys.
Maybe it needs a squel. Large story and have the major towns

This game despite the action did the red dead 2 slow burn thing and dependancy in your vehicle well. I like being trapped away from the car and calling for chumbucket. Max will either scream to bring the car or shoot a flare and hell come driving up. Or having him drive and reposition the car while you shoot the rifle. And the binoculars are just that, not stat-readers a d enemy markers, ect

some of the ones we got a clearly inspired by them and you can customize your own to look like some of them.
but the Nux car for instance is not in the game, you can build one that resembles it, but not actually be like it. Despite it being setup for having a lancer in the back to work on it. there is a chassis that look at bit like it. But its to far from the real one imo.

i think the main reason i didn't love the game was that every car was the same "size" the larger boss vehicles acted weirdly.
hell even the convoy car in this segment is just a normal car.

@@Pablo-ig7tx I mean I got this platinum years ago and the only thing I remember is this hunchback wanting max to drive his Magnum Opus and I think there's some woman with a daughter that max doesn't want to get close to but than they die and he's super sad about it
@@vlover15OO Yeah i am currently replaying it along with sleeping dogs, and its right Mad Max does not have a good scenario, but the best part of the game is the open world and combat wether on foot or in the car ! They did very good with the Car honestly and the game looks really good almost 10 years later.
