Title says it all. Today we'll be looking at the 3rd, and certainly not least, installment in the Sands Of Time series.

I completed this games when I was in 3rd grade.... and i loved it a lot. I still come back to this again and again. 2nd favourite after Warrior within.
You must be the first person I've ever heard of who likes the carriage chases, but I'm glad someone does. It looks like the HD version still doesn't look as good as the PC release.
I like the chariot chases too!

The PS3 version doesn't even look as good as the OG Xbox version, IMHO. That HD trilogy was a complete mess. Missing graphical effects, new bugs, etc.
When it comes to Ubisoft re-releases, Splinter Cell Trilogy & Beyond Good & Evil HD were much better. Even if Splinter Cell got all multiplayer & co-op modes removed.
Unfortunately, Warrior Within & The Two Thrones are not available on XSX via backwards compatibility. Sands of Time only.
@@ThePreciseClimber i played it for the first time on ps3 but not the hd trilogy. I downloaded the game from psn and i think that was the og version. I have it on my pc now but i cant really remember if it looked different at all on my ps3
When you said that this is your favourite game in the trilogy & also one of your favourite video games, it was as if there's one other soul on planet Earth who feels the same as me. And I loved all your Prince Of Persia reviews.
2008 Prince of Persia is so underrated, trust me give it a try please :)
the visuals are great,
but anything else is absurd and repetitive

I just finished it and I fkn loved it. I only wish they made a DLC or some sort about his dark side, it felt like that part was rushed
My favorite game of all time along with warrior within. However the HD version seriously looks bad. The dark prince doesn't have the sand trails on him, and the Prince's arm doesn't get consumed more and more as time goes on, along with some audio glitches, and some bad textures. Also looking forward to the Forgotten Sands review. I personally think FS is the weakest of the PoP games. The story was very forgettable, and the platforming has very slow/clunky animations. And the combat is very repetitive with no use of environment and boring enemies. Once again, cool review, I enjoyed the WW and SoT ones as well (altho I have different opinions on those games)

i have to disagree with you on the platforming it had some incredible introductions to the series like using your water powers to freeze water in place so you can climb it"which to be honest doesnt make sense" or revert broken down platforms to there original positions and more especially when you use all these powers at once and in terms of clunky animations i cant really see any in terms of platforming theres probaby some in his combat or actually yeah what other animations does he have all he does is fight and climb but then again he always does that i mean he has his elemental powers but i cant remember those so yeah
Main TFS may be the weakest but the wii version of TFS is a very different game and far superior actually, I like it far more than the two thrones
Personally, I think that the horse section is a lazy way to add variety in the game, the lady boss fight is just a remake of the Kaileena and her servant boss fight from Warrior Within, since all 3 have the exact same attack pattern, except here she jumps. I really would've liked to see prince's "impulsive" side in a cinematic, mainly the part where he is in the elevator with Farah and stares at her replying blue. His personality, and face expressions seem so different in cinematics compared to cutscenes. About the sand usage, I've never ran our of it, while in Warrior Within, even when I've played it on easy I was as economical as possible with it and still found myself without it on most occasions. After all, it's my favorite game as well.
I loved this game back then as a Kid on my Gamecube! I replay it so many times! Please ubisoft reboot this game in a manner like resident evil 2 or Tomb raider

I have never played the game, but even the coverart gives me so much PS2 and 2000's nostalgia
I've seen a lor of reviewers complain about the Mahasti boss fight (the lady you fight in the brothel) and it seems it is because everyone, EVERYONE (even myself when I first fought her), does the same mistake: Forget you can slow time
The PS2 version does the same thing when the prince gets over the dark prince.
Wish I wasn’t done wit pop at the time of its release this game looks good

I recently beat warrior within and forgotten sands Wii edition and I’m playing the Wii port of the game that has a different name for some reason call rival swords which it’s just two thrones with a different name
Btw I believe or heard the game got rushed and apparently they skipped a final battle against the dark prince for a holiday release idk if it’s true but the game it’s 4 hours long the shortest in the franchise but they pull it off well
This game was a blast start to finish
And rage worthy at points as well 🤣
there's only one flawless game on the ps2 that I know of and it's Silent Line Armored Core. If you haven't played it yet I highly recommend it.

The hd trilogy they released was a buggy mess if they were to release a new collection that includes forgotten sands and the remake they need to fix it
Agree. I can accept it, but it's not a solid remaster by all means. A new proper remaster would be welcome
No matter what everyone says but warrior within still my fav game of triology and my 2nd fav game of all time. Everything abt it the dark theme the water all over place, Graden area, it just too beautiful. And Sand Wraith and Dahaka is best thing ever. The story too when prince lost all hope and finds abt Sand Wraith. WW is underrated af.
Beat the game again today...the biggest mistake in this game is the princes father sword. You kill any mob with 1 blow using that sword and makes the rest of the game feel unchallenging and boring.

@@OC225 i also beat the first game sands of time and realized they did this on every game. In SoT you also get a completely overpowered sword that makes the last part hella boring. I always thought this just happened on the last game..weird that the developers thought about it and still went for that stuff on every game.

@@elch1cken935 Yes it happened in WW as well... The Water Sword. You could even get it before becoming the sand wraith, using it for a large portion of the game! But it was a secret, and lead to the true ending of the game, so it was very cool. In the other games you get the swords as part of the story.

Whoever made this game would it have killed him to put things in the little bottles and the little containers maybe little energy powers little level up something I mean even in crappy games when you break bottles and little objects on the side you get things this one blank every one of them why I like jumping games when you jump around but most of the time you jump in it's for nothing I would have rather thought and go from the sky high onto the person then just jump and fall or jump and go breathtaking in carpal tunnel I'm saying
Nah. This game was all over the place. And I hated how it treated Kaileena.
Kaileena is hardly a likeable character tho, she is mostly just ...there being sexy and all that, Farah is a way more interesting character and her relationship with the prince is adorable

@@xenon333 what about the ending of warrior within? I don't think this game did the character wrong, since Kaileena is present throughout the whole experience as a narrator. Also, killing her in WW was probably the ending most people got. I know I did, because I didn't bother with the health upgrade bs.
