    Wow! This was a drop-the-mic show for Greg. For his sake, I hope Josh Pate's info actually delivers because he's invested a couple of weeks into boosting his news bomb. All the same, Greg has tried to reset the expectations of the Warchant crowd. None of us ever believed that the Big 12 was even a remote possibility. I personally would like for FSU to be in the B1G. But I think FSU/Clemson to the Big 12 is best for college football. If the P3 ends up at 20-22 teams each then it all works out.

      @claytri Před 15 dny +4

      Yeah FSU/Clemson to the Big XII and you have a conference that should be close in value to the B1G SEC. IF either hate it they could still try for 2nd move in 2030. I think FSU/Clemson looks and sees a path to the playoffs most years vs a few more bucks and getting there occasionally. When the ACC dies when UNC/UVA go SEC then we can add 2 more and the money gets better.

      @xmositoxc147 Před 15 dny +1

      I believe too many teams that don't bring too much media value would need to be fed.. but you would probably be closer to 60-70% vs 50% of what the SEC and B10 would make.
      With that said I prefer a strong 3rd conference vs a distant 3rd and 4th.
      Would have liked the B10 going into FL for recruiting, but if this results in the B10 staying at 20 that includes ND and Stanford, that probably maximizes the B10 value vs having 22 or 24 schools in the meantime.

    • @heartbreak25

      @@xmositoxc147 I still think the B1G should go after Miami and either stay at 21 and wait to see how things shake out around 2030 to add the 22nd. I think giving the Big 12 all three is too much even if the return is ND. To your point, without FSU, then Miami is on an island. All of a sudden the Georgia Tech cult is active again. LOL

      @@lorenzohaynes3886 I think we're going to soon learn that everyone have been totally wrong about the motivations of the B1G and SEC. If Texas A&M is in serious talks with the B1G who likely will be they traveling partner? Kansas would be a great partner just to get a little closer to the state of Texas. I heard chatter of Rice or Tulane but I think both schools are highly unlikely. B1G still can go after FSU with partners of both Miami & GA Tech which leave room for Notre Dame being the 24th addition or maybe the 25th addition if they negotiate to have Stanford to come along. All of this if the B1G cannot get the likes of UNC / Virginia who currently seems to be leaning to the SEC. With the B1G having presence in the cities of Houston, Miami, Atlanta and the area of Florida panhandle will definitely make a dent to the recruiting in major areas of the South for the power schools to get talented recruits.

    I thought the host did a great job on dealing with the channel’s resident Big 12 hater BJ who apparently became irate because of the show’s discussion involving Yormark and the Big 12. I had to laugh when BJ after being challenged by the host said he had family members at FSU who emphatically know what the Seminoles are going to do or not do with respect to conference realignment. I don’t even think the President of FSU or members of the Board of Governors know emphatically what is going to happen with their University because there are too many moving pieces. And one of those pieces is the ACC’s media rights agreement with ESPN which now looks like it could end in 2027 rather than 2036. That changes everything.

On a side note...... FSU especially, but FSU and Clemson. There's one thing. Texas and Oklahoma are in the SEC. And in the Big 12, you have Houston and TCU. Not to mention those other Texas schools. But trust me when I tell you. Texas would rip the SEC apart before they would sit back and let FSU be in the same conference as Houston. FSU playing and recruiting in Dallas and Houston..... A&M, Oklahoma, and Texas would lose their minds. It's not gonna happen.
