    I remember a time (2000s) that ppl hated gold fixtures, but it is all we see now! Brass/white/marble.....seems to be the theme for so many designers/clients. They all start to look the same. The house photographs well and it's pretty, but we have seen this look.

      @fredrik bergquist its not the use of gold/brass, but the over use of gold/brass as if it is the cure all design trick. Its the new overused thing like uba tuba and black granite use to be.

      @parsonste Před 5 lety

      @@kimt3120 Agreed. It will be around for a while though. Its a nice neutral backdrop for art, artifacts, personal photographs, etc. Unfortunately it does begin to look same ole same ole but I think the point here in this remodel is the amount of space and light they were able to add, not necessarily the materials and finishes. :-) Terri Anne Parsons www.anneparsonsinteriors.com

    • @parsonste
      @parsonste Před 5 lety

      @fredrik bergquist Right. I think this trend is going to go out as fast as it came in...about 5 years and everyone will be pulling their hardware like they have been pulling it in the 80's and 90's homes I remodel. Brushed Stainless and Oiled Bronze are a nice change from chrome and creates a warmer palette. :-) T Anne P www.anneparsonsinteriors.com

    1000 years ago, Egyptians did not make modern style double doors with cast iron grading. If in fact they were that old, they'd be in a museum and not serve as your pantry doors.

      Agreed. In Russia some bathrooms and toilets are SO small, you'll never be able to fit the sink there, especially in the toilet. You sit on the touilet and can lean on the door with your head, it's that small. So, yeah, not even a 15 cm sink, there's no point, no space and would look awful. American people are very lucky with those huge bathrooms and toilets.
