I wouldn't have subverted Billy's sacrifice at the end. You can still have WW come and do her thing, if you want, and maybe have the wizard hint that Billy may return at some other time or in some other world. Just a slight nod at the possibility of him returning in Gunn's DCU.

The one time I genuinely laughed was when Hespera was reading Shazamâs bird letter and later on in the letter she starts reading the background conversations that âSteveâ picks up on and wrote down.

Why are people acting like James Gunn made the movie? The movie finished filming in August of 2021. WB didn't make the deal with Gunn until more than a year later. And this film only had a budget of $125 million, a bit more than half of the budget of Black Adam. This was a low priority project by WB from the beginning.
Everything is a low priority for WB
And yet, I think this was a fantastic movie and should be a smash hit with families and action fans. Deserves to make their money back and more.

Exactly, this is a movie from the old regime. If you follow the timeline of events Gunn would have been working on Guardians 3 at the time, he had nothing to do with this movie or the end credit scenes that is all the old regime. The end credits scene every one is so upset about, she says Justice Society. That is direct connection to the Rock's Black Adam movie which Gunn also had nothing to do with, All the Rock on that one and his attempt at a power grab.

Actually, there really weren't any more gods in the DCEU. Ares killed them all, as revealed in Wonder Woman (2017). Zeus' dying act after finally defeating and banishing Ares from Olympus was creating the invisible barrier that protected Themyscira. So the Wizard was actually right in that statement.
Zachary Levi actually worked out for shazam 2 and they did not use a padded suit for it.

As someone who's worn glasses all my life and randomly learned how to use contacts one day. Glasses DO fool people into not realizing who you are (if) they're not constantly in your face all the time.
I think only shazam can use any door to go to that place and use the door to leave. If that door is closed in her world, she couldnt just go there and enter shazam world, thats why she had to be taken there by him. Pay attention please, they explain that in the movie. Just remember that they used a bathroom to escape and when calypso opened the door a man was there. Also, i think you also forgot about the DOME, no one could enter the fucking town. The older and the youngest wanted to restore their world and only lucy liu decided to plant it on earth, thats why she killed one and almost killed the other.

The 'villains' could not enter the sanctum because it was warded. They could only retrieve the apple after Helen Mirren's character was captured by Shazam. Once inside she then got the apple.
The staff was needed to take the abilities away from the Shazam family and later Anthea. They did not have this ability without the staff.
What you could ridicule is the skittles and unicorns. That is just idiotic. But your opening complaint has no merit.
Watch the movie before you create a reaction. There is plenty to plot holes to discuss, those were not two of them.
And don't forget about Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Hawkeye, Janet Van Dyne (The Wasp), Caral Danvers (Capt Marvel) besides Superman, and the old show: The Greatest American Hero.
Shazam was most likely satirical of how no one can recognize a hero in costume, ergo the joke made in the film.

I do think that the DCU from James Gun will be the same DCEU from previously but with different actors. Like Ezra Millers, The Flash movie will be the transitional movie where Barry Allen screws up history where Henry Cavill is no longer Superman and hear is James Gun DCU
