Hey Dillon Berg, I heard back and apparently they’ve added a second USB C port so there’s one for data and one to charge. There’ll also be a battery pack mod coming in the future.

For now I know I'd need a control vinyl such as 'Practice Yo Cuts meets Serato', but I know little else. Does this work on a PC? Thanks so much! A DVS portable needs an audio interface built-in, to send the Serato time code signal to your app, in order to control the "sound", which is mostly a mp3 file. At the same time, sending midi signal to the app, so the software cross fader in the app synchronises to the real fader. Most of the turntables don't come with that many things, you need to purchase another DVS mixer for the job. With OMNI, you only need one single USB cable. Yes, it works on PC with a free app called "Mixxx".

Unfortunately, I had just emailed them regarding a few versions I've seen of the Omni. One was this video they've posted themselves with two additional arcade buttons on the left hand side, the other is the version that's on their website but when you go to the Pre-Order page, it shows the model without the button selectors under the Speed Control and no arcade buttons, just the Ultra Pitch button. I've reached out to Headache Sound and they got back to me saying that this video they've posted with two arcade controllers was a modded model and isn't for sale which is too bad. That would've been a huge game changer.. The other question about what exactly will be the final version that's coming out and for pre-order was the model as it exactly is on the "pre-order page," that you see without any selector buttons except for the just the arcade stop/start button and the Ultra Pitch Button. I then asked about why they had the model with the same buttons as their prototype has which is the speed selector and the Ultra/ Studio/ Scratch version on their website as well as showing what it comes with when they told me that the final product was COMPLETELY different and without any of those. No reply. I'm afraid that those folks who pre-ordered are in for a very big disappointment. I've kind of caught them on some errors on their website and now they're not responding. Gonna pass up on it because although it "may," be a superior product, I could just as well pay for the necessary upgrades to another portable than deal with dishonesty or bad customer service. Sorry, just my experience with them and them not being transparent about these simple yet IMPORTANT questions.

Can the pre-orders pay for the add on of the DVS buttons? Also, can you explain the connections for this setup? Is the OMNI sending DVS/crossfader to the smartphone via USB? Is the smartphone sending audio back to the OMNI via the same USB, so the resulting Serato output is from the line output of the OMNI?
We don't have the buttons kit available yet, so we are sorry that we cannot ship with the preorder. Yes, OMNI sends DVS/Crossfader to anything via the single USB cable. Yes, it also send back audio signal back to OMNI via the same single USB cable from any device.

No, every OMNI will come with DVS features, however, the buttons shown on the left was an add-on that will be released as a kit for extra controls.
