@@TheLecaQueen I just put Growth Technology in the Amazon search and the Clone, root gel and foliage focus appeared. So happy to get I've received two and one coming later this week.
I live in the United States and I get Growth Technology products on Amazon and I have seen them on Etsy. So they are definitely here!
So many great questions and very good answers! You are doing a great job Miss Nora! 🪴🪴
Thank you Natalie, much appreciated 🙏.
Your Syngonium Fantasy is so gorgeous! I really like how bushy it is. My cuttings are just about ready to add them back to my Syngonium Albo pot.
That is going to make for a gorgeous Albo!!!
Thanks
Yet another incredible video!
Thank you, you are too kind. I enjoyed this one 😊
I like to use pest treatments that an insect can’t become resistant to which simplifies things. Soapy water is a prime example. It dries out soft bodied insects which isn’t something they can adapt to. Oil works well for spider mites as it will smother them (they can’t exactly adapt to suffocation. Some oils work better than others but not all the eggs will be killed in each treatment). I like these options as they are also completely non-toxic.
Thank you for your videos Nora, so well done! I’ve learned so much.
I started your ‘long method’ w my monstera yesterday 🌱
You are so welcome! Long life to your Monstera!!!
Thank you for another great video i learn so much from u
You are so welcome, thank you for the support.
Thank you so much for covering mamei. Very helpful. BTW Your mamei is absolute gorgeous.
Munish Kashib you are very welcome!
TYSM for answering my questions! You are amazing! Beesgro is some of the best moss out there but it can be expensive and harder to find in the US. I use Orchid Moss from Lowe's, $5-7 a pack. Stay away from the Mosser Lee brand at Home Depot and other places. We use a lot of LFSM in the carnivorous plant community and find that the Mosser Lee brand contains alot of sticks, weeds, grass seed and trash. The floating bugs in water are more than likely springtails (if you try to touch them and they jump, congrats!). Springtails are attracted to water bc they needs huge amounts of humidity to live. They are very beneficial to have and are harmless to us and our plants. They feed on mold and decaying matter. The majority of people have them living in, around or under their houses and never even know it bc they are so tiny. I have 3 colonies currently (believe it or not, some of us pay for them 😳). They are used alot in bioactive enclosures (whether animals or plant terrariums) as a clean up crew, feasting on any mold, dead roots, waste from critters, etc.
Thank you for your kind words and for watching, much appreciated! Interesting info about the Springtails!
17:35 I find that wherever this has happened, there is some root rot I’m dealing with so I’m just better off depotting to see the roots.
Great video, new subscriber here 👋. Hello from Kansas! I’m using the 3 part series of advanced nutrients it’s working great for me. It’s the only one I have ever used.
Hello, thank you for stopping by and subscribing. Much appreciated and thank you for the comment.
Very pleased to see the Bird of paradise. Saved me asking.
Glad to be of service!
I use general hydroponic trio solution but I’m a newbie so we shall see. I did transfer my alocasia only to leca because I struggle. So far I’m excited I see new water roots coming out.
Thank you.
I love all your videos. I used a tray of water for my Calathea and she didn’t appreciate the effort. I got a humidifier and she started to pop out new leaves like crazy. She’ll be moved to leca once my shipment arrives.
That's really because pebble trays are very suss at best for raising humidity
@@TheLecaQueen Agreed. I don’t think that tray did anything for my calathea but it did its best. 😂
Another great video from you! I'm currently using General Hydroponics FloraSeries. However, Amazon is currently selling GT Foliage Focus and I should have mine on Thursday!! All my alocasias are thriving in leca and so glad that I transitioned them. I need to get my calathea orbifolia next because she isn't looking so hot - that's my one diva plant! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts.
Thank you. I am so glad you got some Foliage Focus. How has it been working for you?
@@TheLecaQueen still too early to say and I haven't used them on all my plants in leca. I do love how easy it is to use though.
Thanks, shocked to see the size of your Bambino in Leica…I might have to give lecca a try.
Yeah that Bambino is insane. I encourage you to try leca.
You are simply fabulous. I loved listening to all Q and A. You are very informative and experienced in leca method. Only thing which I am struggling is decision regarding nutrients solutions. I am in India and see some hydroponic solutions with not so much statistics and detailed ingredient info.
So far I am giving diluted NPK (which was ideally for soil media) and sea weed fertilizer in my solution. And also I am alternating this nutrient solution with plain water just in case I don't mess up. So far all plants in leca are loving and growing roots. Lets see if leaves and other growth is equally impressive later in my journey. I believe in long method. I tend to grow all roots in water (1-2 inches) before moving to leca. Let's see how it goes.
One thing I wish to ask is what if my plants are in leca and are exposed to extreme heat of 38 - 40 degree Celsius. I don't have air conditioning in my plant room. So will they cope better in heat if in leca as compared to soil.
Thank you Manju, I wish I could help regarding nutrients in India, all the best with what you are doing. Are there any hydroponics shops you could reach out to?
I use the Advanced Nutrient System from General Hydropics ordered from Amazon.
Also, my nerve plants are doing well in leca.
Thank you.
19:17 please note these moisture meters don’t work well if you’re using an extremely chunky mix like I do with size 4 perlite, big coco coir chunks etc. 😊
Great tip! Thank you.
How many plant earrings do you have and will you show them side by side. I enjoy your plant channel tremendously😀
So nice of you to say.I have a few plant earrings. Checkout a video I made about them here:

I love your earrings! Where can we get some like them?
Do you think that a solution of diluted diatomaceous earth to control bugs?
Love your videos, well done you🌹
21:45 😁😄😆😅🤣 Alocasia
I know right! I was just being honest!
Hi Mrs. Nora! Thank you again for the knowledge you share. Much appreciated. I cleaned my Leca really well, however, I'm seeing white spots on them. Do you know what causes this? Is it harmful to my plant? How do I remove the white spots? How do I prevent them?
Hello, not sure what you mean by white spots, do you mean the mineral deposits on the leca after using it for a while? Please let me know. If it is the mineral deposits, please checkout this video where I break that down. Thanks!

If you keep leca soaking in a nutrient solution. Do the nutrients diminish over time? Would this also be the case if you pre-mix the nutrient solution with water for watering? Do the nutrients diminish over time if not used? Thank you
l truly enjoy your channel! l have mildew growing on the inside of my pots to the level of the water line. On my opaque pots the mildew is on the outside of the pot at the water line. Do you experience this problem? Any suggestions on how to eliminate the mildew?
Thank you for the question. Please find the answer in my Q& A session here: czcams.com/video/dpEEqJ7jeSk/video.html
Hello were do you buy your plastic pots..
great video! i'm in USA and ordered the clonex clone solution and foliage focus from amazon. however, i can't seem to find any info on the "root zone" product that you've mentioned.
Unfortunately you can't find it, it is not yet available, it will be next year.
Dyna-Grow Foliage Pro . I order from Amazon. Good luck so far with syngonium, monstera, alocascia , Birkin, cane begonia. Oddly my golden pothos do not like leca but I’m working on that.
Thank you!
I love the idea of the Mamei in the clear pot but unsure if you are using a cache pot? If not how do you change the nutrient solution?
Thank you for the question. Please find the answer in my Q& A session here: czcams.com/video/dpEEqJ7jeSk/video.html
I just added my mostera to nutriens solution ,but there are bubbles present, what does that means, this is the long way.
Mrs. Nora, looking at your moss pole, I noticed green. Is that algae? Should you remove it? How do you remove it if it is algae? What causes the algae on the moss pole? Will it negatively affect the plant?
Thank you for the question. Please find the answer in my Q& A session here: czcams.com/video/dpEEqJ7jeSk/video.html
Hi I have a question I have some of my plants are in Leco but the Leoc balls have a white film on it in some of my plant what should I do about that
Not sure what you mean. It might be that your leca needs to be flushed. Check out this video here, it might help. Thanks, czcams.com/video/ug4XW46PK-A/video.html
The plant over your right shoulder appears to be a fiddle leaf fig, which is a ficus lyrata growing in leca, no?
Indeed it is Mona. Check out my Fiddles in leca in this video: czcams.com/video/lagXK5EoipY/video.html
