  • This video will cover the 10 trader types, their inventories, and who sells what. This information is up to date as of the Brutal Start update, and is probably going to change. I will attempt to update it as needed but keep in mind that the wares should hopefully not change much, but they probably would change.
    Definitely Skip around to get more information on the different traders and feel free to listen to my musings or just use this as a something to refer to for the hashes, names, or possible packages they can buy from you. Keep in mind that the HASH ID I list for each trader will be useful later for the logic devices in terms of identifying the traders. This data is seen in the satellite dishes with a configuration tablet, but I will go over that in more detail in the satellites and scanning tutorial.

    There is one thing the hardware trader is good for, the fire extinguisher it still has 12L of water for €50 less than the liquid trader, supper useful for hard planets

      True... I do remember feeling ripped off that they sell you the welding torch, but welding fuel canister sold separately. I think I also had the same mindset that the fire extinguisher may be the same.

    Thank you for doing this little series - did you also notice the bug in the landing pad gas storage where water will evaporate a little inside the pad but not condense? When trying to do gas and water trading, this is quite a hastle, having to pump the water vapour in a circle through the gas network in order for it to condense back into liquid form for my water tank.

      I got the pad stuff out soon, had to make sure I had all the chapters in. I have noticed that potentially the liquid input pumps pump in pressurant gases yet the output will only pull liquids. I need to do a better test than water to confirm but it seems like the gas pump output takes only gases but the input can push in liquids as well. Buying just the liquids from the trader seems to keep everything as liquids so it might have something to do with pump behaviour.

    you have to be very aware about the prices you pay or get for the ingots. you could buy gold ore for 1.80, and sell gold ingots for 2.50, but you can get silver ore for 3.00 and sell ingots for 1.00. Also some products get paid less then the raw materials are worth, ic10 for 25 but raw materials ~40.
    Some nice fact, plastic sheets costs 0.75 or 1 but the silicon is worth 1.40, so plastic sheets is an always buy :)
    thanks for the video. I now have a nice excel sheet ^^

      True, but it also depends on the planet as well. Some planets will have different values or stock and that could mess up spreadsheet math. I'm sure a more economy minded person would be able to do all the math and say for a fact that you should always "buy x, convert it to y, sell y and you make z% profit".
      I did make the video because I know sometimes it is easier to see prices when you can see a long list of stock for different traders and make spreadsheets out of them... at some point I figure anyone would get tired of looking at tradables.xml to see exact pricing.

      @@shadowdrake082 thanks for mentioning tradables.xml

    is it correct, that Alloy Trader and Ore Trader both share the same Hash id 54412100?

    • @shadowdrake082
      @shadowdrake082  Před 4 dny +1

      aww crap. It is not. Ore traders have a different hash and should be -1374574351. I'll have to go back and correct this and reupload. Thanks for pointing this out.
