    The orientation of the light sensor DOES matter, but once you figure out which way it needs to point (only 4 possibilities), the rest of it works perfectly without a script. Many thanks for the vid. 👍

    • @TremorBoria
      @TremorBoria  Před 4 měsíci

      Yeah, could do. lol. Maybe I'll make another video about this, Make this system even simpler.
      But I feel like the orientation of the daylight sensor is still relative to the orientation of the solar panel base, more than the sun.
      Like I have a base with two separate solar circuits on either side and a daylight sensors on each pointed in two different directions, as well as panels in reversed orientation from the other circuit.
      Why would I do that? The sun travels directly over head between the different sets of solar panels, and sensors.
      So I do *agree* with you the orientation of the sensor matters. But I think there's more ways to orient it... depending on the system.
      And I mean there's no right or wrong way to do it, as long as it work right?
      I just want to help get people started or give them ideas when they're stuck.
      Which is why comments like yours are great because someone reading it might find another way to do something, because I just make stuff up as I go and hope it works. Then we edit it to look like I had a plan the whole time. lol.
      *Thank you* for the comment, Always appreciate feed back and input here.
      (especially if it means I can make another video or helps somebody)
      You have a good day my friend.

    Hello, i did it but the horizontal have a problem - i think) because it is almost in front of the sun, but a little bit shifted to the outer side of the sun (apart from the sun itself), it does not aim at its center, what should I do?

    • @TremorBoria
      @TremorBoria  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Hello, is your solar panel raised off the ground because having it on top of more than one or two iron frames can cause it too look miss aligned but if you look at the base of the panel it should still say 99% efficiency. If that’s not what’s up, you may have to rotate your daylight sensor (I have another like 2 minute solar video that shows what I mean about rotating the sensor) and or double check your values on the logic chips to make sure they didn’t do something weird (I don’t care what anybody says sometimes they change on their own). If none of that helps what planet are you on and efficiency is the panel showing?

      IC10 is so much simpler í thought it would be. I've never coded before and í love it. You can check if its worth it by checking the power draw, i think it's if you have more than 6 logic things an IC is worth it.

    Bro 😂 did you make a whole video to spite me lmao

  • @g45h96
    @g45h96 Před 11 měsíci

    Okay, way too much info in this comment, but oh well.
    First, technically it's only 2 axis, which results in a simulated three degrees of freedom. It can rotate about the z axis (horizontal), and about the x and y axis, depending on z rotation.
    Also, new to the game, so I don't actually know if it matters, but doesn't the math unit output to the bottom? Because it's not hooked up in the video. So maybe efficiency drops as the sun gets more overhead, and the 10 degrees is more apparent, but I'm really not certain.
    And lastly, (I should probably check out the website because it likely says all this), but if anyone's happens to not face the right way, just rotate the daylight sensor until it's correct. You can also offset with math, but it may take additional math units and actually calculating the offset.

    • @TremorBoria
      @TremorBoria  Před 11 měsíci

      I change the name of the video then.
      I’ve never bothered to hook up the bottom of the math unit, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t lol
      I did say at the beginning we could just rotate the sensor.
      These videos are not tutorials. They’re just what I am doing that day, I guess I forgot to say that in this video.
      But most importantly this video was just made to spite one person lol.
      Thanks for the input man. I am gonna change the title, you have a good day.

I couldn't stop looking at the efficiency. I was laying awake at night thinking about. I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep, I had trouble focusing during stickball. Like 6 axis is 99% all day.
