      I may not have explained that well... but the biggest a room can be is 1200 frames worth of block space. If it gets bigger than that, the room will become "World", which means it will be subject to the normal world conditions like storms and atmospheric composition (-140C oxygen).

    you have to be very aware about the prices you pay or get for the ingots. you could buy gold ore for 1.80, and sell gold ingots for 2.50, but you can get silver ore for 3.00 and sell ingots for 1.00. Also some products get paid less then the raw materials are worth, ic10 for 25 but raw materials ~40. Some nice fact, plastic sheets costs 0.75 or 1 but the silicon is worth 1.40, so plastic sheets is an always buy :) thanks for the video. I now have a nice excel sheet ^^

      True, but it also depends on the planet as well. Some planets will have different values or stock and that could mess up spreadsheet math. I'm sure a more economy minded person would be able to do all the math and say for a fact that you should always "buy x, convert it to y, sell y and you make z% profit". I did make the video because I know sometimes it is easier to see prices when you can see a long list of stock for different traders and make spreadsheets out of them... at some point I figure anyone would get tired of looking at tradables.xml to see exact pricing.

    it does not work in my stationeers game, to mine directly to backpack. i have mining belt on belt slot as you, and backpack in my hand, but it always goes to mining belt. as for the oxygen on Europa: i let a bit of waste gas in a pipe und just suck oxygen in it with a vent with ic-chip until the gas in the pipe is at my desired temp of 20C. then i filter it all to my tanks. win win, free oxygen and cooled waste gas :)

    shadow, heres my advice...3 chips, chip 1-scan checker, push in the stack the Sites you want said miner rocket to go to. have it peek the number, send it to the rocket avi and ask if the Survey is greater than or = to 10. is the density greater than 1 (or w/e number you should set) note only density really matters, richness can never be less than 1, and size never changes. once density hits 0 its fully depleted. if the site is a "go" send it to the db of chip 2 if not move the sp, check again. Note you might want to test this with a display in see what the Survey number will be if a Site does not exist, i assume it will show a -1 and if so that works. chip-2 ground control/Go NoGo. this checks the rocket status, fuel, power, a "go" from the site chip etc. if all checks are good it sends a "go" to chip 3. chip 3-"do thing" chip, placed on the rocket, this will have 5 subroutines(loop) /steps , 1 ground wait(loop, waiting for a "go" from ground control), 2 launch (step), 3 (loop)travel to destination and when destination code is = 0 branch to mine, 4 mine (loop) when either a. cargo is full, b heads wear out, or c Site density is 0 branch to "come home" 5 step/loop, return loop and here you also add in your landing script once the rocket enters Europas gravity. while in space your wt is =0 but, once you start landing its greater than 0 edit: for the scanner rocket, push ALL possible Discover Points and ALL possible Survey Points. first get a "go" for launch from a ground control chip then, have it peek or pop, and check if it can Discover, Discover ranges from 0-1 but never stays at 1 an invald is -1, so is location Discover greater than OR = 0 AND Sites are greater than or = 9 (it might be a Beta thing but i have areas with 10 sites) if checks are true move sp, if not go to and scan. For Sites check if Survey is less than 10 and greater than or = 0, if true then go to and survey, if not move sp. and ea time you have it move sp, i think you will need a "bingo" fuel and battery check and if low, then branch to a "go home" subroutine. and it will wait at home untill it gets the "go" signal

    • @shadowdrake082
      @shadowdrake082 Před 14 dny

      Thats the part I'm wondering about too. Right now I'm operating under the assumption that I will push locations into the rockets as I see them. Something like if I tell scanner to go to a main site and then scan all the subsites... i can then go back and review those sites and push certain sites to a particular mining rocket so that it has a database of the sites I want it to go mine at. While I'm there I could delete junk nodes or nodes I dont want and later resend the scanner rocket back to it. One problem I have with site deletion is the game sometimes rearranges locations, which may cause me problems. I think from running some offline tests, the chips do almost exactly what I want when they work together after a few bug fixes. This will at least push me to complete the third floor's trade and rocket center, that way I can make an actual ground control to give me statuses on each chip, cargo, and other essentials on each rocket so that I have a much better and refined control of the rockets.

    I think the reason why "the graphs are off" is because of the phase change; it's the same reason that boiling water is never 100c. When water goes from liquid to gas it pulls so much energy from the system that the overall temperature drops, so "boiling" water will only ever get to 97 odd c because of the energy transferred in the phase change.

    Not sure if you know, but a tip on ic10: You can actually use 'get' and 'put' for actual ic10 stack memory, allowing you to directly read and write to the stack at specific addresses. (Just pass in db for the device operand). This should greatly simplify the code since you can now treat stacks as just an array of memory

    • @shadowdrake082
      @shadowdrake082 Před 24 dny

      Hopefully it doesnt get changed too much, but it is the most accurate to be able to more easily pin down the trader, even with gradual movements. There is some noise, but not so much that you cant get a definite reading for how exactly to move in it.

  • @RadlerAndi
    @RadlerAndi Před 27 dny

    i'm trying to automate my dishes, and so far i was only really able to make use of vertical angle. After every contact i reset my small dish to 0° vertical and 0° horizontal (which is true north by occasion). When there is a new contact i switch on a LED to notify me. When i get to the computer i can read the offset angle and push a button to set the small dish vertical angle to this. I tried to but wasn't able to fully automate the search for the horizontal angle. As for now I'm doing the horizontal part by myself and it's still quicker compared to do it all by myself. Most of the time, the vertical angle is the final vertical angle, but today i learned that in some cases the angle differs because of the noise. Sometimes the vertical angle is e.g. 80° when it before says (at 0 vertical) the angle would be 90°. But mostly i can make it to 0° offset with the initial offset at 0 vertical. Then for 5x5 traders i have a medium dish, which i switch on with a button and transfer the horizontal and vertical angles from the small dish. Here i saw that at the same values the both dishes differ at 5-6° even when they are only 4 frames away from each other. I never thought this would impact that much. I'm looking forward in expanding my script to search for traders based on type. thanks for the video, i think i'll stick to coding it with "trial and error" search and less mathematics because i don't unterstand it :D

    • @shadowdrake082
      @shadowdrake082 Před 27 dny

      Yea, the Medium dish threw me for a big loop when I was trying to reverse engineer what happens behind the scenes. Things just didnt make sense why it was such a big change. I think basically you got how to do it, which is nice, I just like to try to explain the underlying math behind it to explain why what I'm attempting to do works. But pretty much getting the Vertical angle from a 0 Degree Vertical (Currently Horizontal doesnt matter if Vertical is 0) gets huge. The only reason I have the 4 Cardinal Direction Large Dishes are for figuring out where the trader lies on the horizontal. Even using the games extremely rough and noisy signals can get you close, but I really wanted to try to get it more exact. If I were to use the game's signal deviations, I may add a second Large Dish pointed at 0 degrees or make my whole array point at 0 degrees and average them out to get an almost "True" Vertical and then move the cardinal dishes out to that position. I need to do more tests because I thought I recall a dev mention that the signal noise adds up to 20% deviation noise but didnt say anything about subtracting that amount.

  • @wowailyich615
    @wowailyich615 Před 27 dny

    I really do suck at logic and all things related - but I was also thinking that it must be possible to program some kind of triangulation system using the difference in readings from two smaller dishes to direct a larger one .... I just don't know how to properly do it :(

    • @shadowdrake082
      @shadowdrake082 Před 27 dny

      I think the next video has a triangulation system, plus some extra logic to get more exact angles. But if you position a dish up at 0 degree vertical, you pretty much are going to get the vertical angle, then two dishes somewhere in the horizontal should hopefully be able to better tell you where in the horizontal you may need to move. It should work with at least getting you close and you can further fine tune the signal on your own or have a script take over with gradual movements until you get 100% power contact received / transmitted.

I’m thinking of automating a hanger to have a trader hold, hanger opens let’s her in and closes cycle atmos and stops when the human pops out. All a hanger really is a SUPER SIZED airlock! Pressing the button or activate = 1 will tell a trader holding to resume on a waypoint or to leave the landing pad. I did wonder how to expand the pad… but i havent really tested it well so i do need to do a follow up first making it look better. I think i saw different people have issues when they used landing pad basics + runway’s together but i havent personally looked into the details. When trying to do gas and water trading, this is quite a hastle, having to pump the water vapour in a circle through the gas network in order for it to condense back into liquid form for my water tank.

      I got the pad stuff out soon, had to make sure I had all the chapters in. I have noticed that potentially the liquid input pumps pump in pressurant gases yet the output will only pull liquids. I need to do a better test than water to confirm but it seems like the gas pump output takes only gases but the input can push in liquids as well. Buying just the liquids from the trader seems to keep everything as liquids so it might have something to do with pump behaviour.

Should be able to open up the settings for the game, opt into a beta, then select a prephase change build. It was leftover for the tutorial and for people who had a big base to attempt to fix it before jumping back to the main branch. Looking at the discord, it seems like they might be doing something about fixing the tutorials, but I cant say that is the next thing on their plate. Many users on the community have attempted to make getting started or tutorial videos to fill the void, but understandably it is a hard void to fill for onboarding someone new.

    For my umbilicals I the future I’ll start to code to see if my rocket has landed, and if not sleep for 5 sec ish…then I’m going to add in a beqzal to go down and change the color of my go no-go light change color based on what’s the nogo, drill heads density of location etc so I know what the issue is. And I did mention this on the recommendation on disc , I’d like to see a trader tracker like the celestial tracker for traders and if possible be able to turn that rocket into a “satellite” just for traders. You can’t land it, but it will solar power to never needs to

    • @shadowdrake082

      I would love being able to launch a satellite and having it configured to do something like another trade slot or to give approximate data like maybe do a type of triangulation for a dish and give maybe 1 piece of data for a trader location. Like if it gives any of the xyz coordinate for its vector that we can then use to start trying to figure out how to properly align a dish to a trader. Even if it takes it about 1 minute or 2 to give you a piece of information. Knowing for example the Y value would mean you can more easily know the vertical value so that you at least know to have your dish be at that vertical and potentially sweep for the horizontal value. Or even roll a trade slot that could be called down. I think I may need to start getting the 3rd floor somewhat spaced out so that I can move and start actually putting chips down for properly controlling the umbilicals as well as the rocket cargo and stuff. As I get closer to automating it, I'm seeing the need to get the ground control setup so that I dont have to rip it all apart and set the thing up again.

Very annoying but my sleep schedule being thrown off can mess with me pretty bad. To answer your question. When you do branch instructions that end in -al, (bltal, beqal, etc.) it stores the line number the branch started into the ra register (which I think is possibly used as r15, could be a hidden r16). At the end of that branch routine you would need to put in a condition for "j ra" so that the program will return back to line after the branch instruction and resume from there. Useful for making an interrupt or small program routine that executes something repeatedly if you can properly initialize it.

Other things of note one you can place cables thru a Corner chute also the rocket ic ONLY sees what’s inside the rocket you can set the setting/On. You would have a "Command Loop" which would be used to evaluate state of the system, you could then add conditions to check and if a condition is met than you would do an action and then return to the command loop. This gives you the ability to deal with the variance in the temperatures / flows / power / etc Good luck in your game
