Dido's cover of James Taylor's "Fire & Rain." Looked all over for this and thought I'd throw the song up for anyone else who might be dying to hear it like I was.
I recently lost my adult son at 33. As I was going to his house the next day, the stereo was playing fire and rain but was this version. It made me feel a lot better since I have always loved Dido. I am a piano player and spent the month or so after he died playing this song. So beautiful. It inspired me to put the words "I always thought that I'd see you baby, one more time again" in his obituary. People really loved it and found it so comforting, just to feel a mom's love coming through with those beautiful lyrics. I would have never been that inspired if it weren't for this video. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Well, whenever an artist does a cover, someone is going to say it can never be as good as the original, but I can listen to all kinds of hard and fast stuff, but I always can follow it by Dido, I love it!!!
This cover from Dido is just amazing. What is more amazing is the most popular amongst 35 to 54years old. I think young people should open their mind a little more. (and that is coming from a 19year old boy)

@101Becka It's good to hear. Thanks. But if you ask most teenagers, they know her because they watched Roswell but don't listen to her (at all, or don't listen to her anymore). There are less and less people who are listening to the songs for the meaning, I'm glad they still exists :)

It's a action/drama series. Dido singed the intro : Here with me. It was the first time I heard of her. But I hope you at least heard of Roswell, the event, where so-called "aliens" crash landed.
Radio stations frequently get "DJ" versions that never see light in stores. It is frustrating. The arguement is that it makes the old media "Still important." Unfair.

Truthfully, when I had heard the James Taylor version long ago, it made an impact, but nothing compared to this sweetness; the chubby cheeks image accentuates the sweetness! Now don't remove the image, just because I like it, or make this song out-of-bounds
