Been obsessed with this friendship for almost fifteen years. Thank you guys 💜💜💜
I loved about this the warmth, enthusiasm and camaraderie you both have for one another, the pure joy of being back in touch with each other, the unstoppable chemistry you and Lauren always, always, ALWAYS have together that always turns on, lights up and soars so high when it's the two of you together. I truly loved how this showed how much you love and care for each other, truly, and always will. I got to be honest, this was the exact, real tone of what I had been hoping a Hills return would be like. I get a headache watching Spencer and his annual spirals, haha. You and Lauren together as a true dynamic duo has meant so much to me over the years and I knew The Hills was special and important to me when I once had a bad reaction & got sick during a movie at Arclight Hollywood & was feeling physically awful in the theater and then I imagined you and Lauren having a fun, joyful conversation at Peoples Revolution. I kid you not, that helped my body literally stabilize and calm down and that sense of peace thinking about you both literally helped me pull myself together! True story Whit! ;) You two have such incredible hearts that come together so naturally & you both always show time & again how you want to create & put out joyous, positive content & creations and I just hope we can see more of you & Lauren together on something ambitious & happy again real soon. This made me happy & had the spirit of what I LOVED about The Hills! This, not the fighting, fighting, blah! I'm proud beyond belief at how far you've both come!

I was a Lauren Conrad super fan throughout Laguna and Hills, and it’s clear now that she just doesn’t want her life that open, which is totally her prerogative. But it makes me realize just how open and vulnerable Whitney makes herself through her CZcams and her Insta and podcast, and I think that’s why I consider all to be wildly successful. I listened to all of Lauren’s podcast, and I think she’s just a guarded person now (totally her right). But thank you Whitney for your (and Timmy’s) openness! I looks forward to your podcast every week and my husband and I both live for your City reaction videos! We laugh the whole way through and it’s like our favorite “show” to enjoy together haha.

Couldnt agree more Lauren seems serious, reserved and more "proper". Almost made me feel unomfortable as it is like listening to a different person. Whitney has remained down to earth and authentic and I felt like she wasnt her true self talking to Lauren here because Lauren has changed so much and takes herself so seriously. Yawn

Lauren is right where she’s supposed to be in life. She’s always been a strong influence and inspiring. I’d love to see more from her. But I understand why she likes her privacy.
It’s interesting how many people here seem to want Lauren to be the same person she was 10 years ago...both of the women are finding success in ways that make them happy! Why is there always an expectation for public people to fit their fans mold?! Congrats to both of you beautiful ladies on living your own best lives! 🤗💛
I think people tend to forget that they themselves grow and change. It's easy (and wrong) to expect someone you've watched and "idolized" to maintain the same energy they had when they saw it encapsulated in reality television history but it's an unfair & unrealistic expectation.
Just wanted to thank Whitney and put it out there that her vulnerability and honesty are really comendable. Especially in comparison to Lauren who seems (just my take, not in any way a fact) to present an ideal version of her life. I didn't watch the first installment of this conversation, but seems like the only non-generalized example of a life difficulty that Lauren referenced was her friend's, not her own. Whitney, on the other hand, is crazy honest and gives specific examples of struggles. Neither of these women has any obligation to be this honest and authentic but I just feel like when part of your business is selling a lifestyle, you do have a duty to share a complete picture. Anyway, all this to say thanks to Whitney who is using her platform to normalize life's challenges and show that all people face them!

You said it though. Lauren is selling a lifestyle, not her life. Selling a lifestyle means marketing something that's aspirational, so she refrains from sharing the parts that are not "picture perfect".

They sure did. I don't know what happened but a few years ago Lo asked on her instagram for ppl to stop tagging her on Laguna and The Hills related posts, and then she randomly unfollowed Lauren.

Ever thought that that's why she's guard now? Imagine having your late teens & early 20s exploited for the world to see and have little to none say in it all? If I were her, I'd want to keep a lot of things private as well. It's completely understandable as to why she doesn't share more. Being under a microscope at an age like that can be so damaging. I think its a good thing she's private. Just try to appreciate the things she does share.

aww, I got the same vibe. And I'm quietly hoping they'll at least be text friends but Lauren seems a little closed.
Yeaaah. I definitely noticed that in the first part of this interview when Whitney was explaining her anxiety around reaching out to Lauren over the years because she thought she disliked her due to a falling out with a mutual friend. Lauren's response was pretty much like, "oh I didn't really think of you at all and have no idea what you're talking about." That moment made me a little sad.

Good for LC! It’s so refreshing to hear someone come out on the other side of the reality tv world. It’s actually none of our business what her life is now even though she made a choice when she was just 18 to be on a reality show. Unfortunately our society has glamorized the reality show industry but it’s a really unhealthy way to live... and probably not how we are meant to. Just saying that’s cool she’s so private I’m proud that she’s respecting herself and her boundaries. Team LC for life 💕

Thank you to queen Whitney for doing this. Us Lauren fans rarely get a glimpse into her life now, so it was so lovely to hear talk about her family and businesses. You are 100% correct in the fact neither of you ever ever acted in a way that you should be ashamed of. Class acts through and through.

I feel like a lot of the commenters below were looming for “tea” rather than enjoying this rare interview with Lauren. If you’ve been a fan for years you would realize this is “open” for Lauren. That fact that she talked about motherhood and a few personal struggles is enough. Who cares about Lo and whoever else? We’re in our 30s. Get over it. You want that drama go watch the reunion or revamp.
I love how both of you were so open about being on reality tv and how it truly affected you guys and I’m so glad you guys are still friends. It killed me the episode when Lauren said goodbye to Whitney, I still get emotional watching it.

I’m rooting for both of them in their lives ♥️. Whitney is so down to earth and humble. Lauren could very well be an out of sight out of mind person. She likely is a bit censored because she was so exposed in such formative years. I think it was just really sweet that they showed up and Whit had great questions.

Whit and Lauren have both had an amazing run on The Hills, with the success and fame that came with the package, they both handled it very well..they are both very well rounded, strong, independent women, and it still shows after all these years..I can understand why Lauren likes to be more private after the show..since her life was practically an open book while filming and now, like she said, she has the option to keep to herself alot more..and Whit was and still is successful, and I admire how her and Timmy are very open with their CZcams channel and podcasts..Lauren and Whitney were my 2 favorites on the show..as well as Audrina

I wouldn't say broke since she's well off but she probably didn't really have clear-cut goals so she agreed to do the hills.

Whitney, I’ve really empathized with your pregnancy and breastfeeding journey with your son. I experienced horrible nausea during my entire pregnancy, and my breastfeeding journey with my first was incredibly difficult and painful- not to mention I was getting little to no sleep for months on end. I found the newborn stage so challenging, and I was subsequently terrified of having a second. My son is now 4 years old, and the BEST sleeper and funniest little dude. We actually used the same sleep trainer! AND... we decided to have a second! A sweet little girl. Although my pregnancy with her was also quite difficult, I must say that my breastfeeding experience with her was entirely different. I was able to successfully breastfeed for 14 months, and as Lauren mentioned- I was much more relaxed, present and able to enjoy all of the little moments with my baby. Regardless of what you decide, your family will thrive 💕 But I just wanted to reiterate that if you do choose to have a second, sometimes it can be the magical experience you hope your second baby would be!
