Gosh... that sure pushes the boundary of value I thought I got when I picked up a lightly used GTX 1070 Ti for $100 shipped a couple months back. 🤔 Stellar review! Quick, point-driven and wrapped up nicely.
@@50shadesofbeige88 Considering where I had to mount the 1070 due to its girth, I think some of those heatsink benefits might wring out in the wash. My case is narrow and the 1070 would only fit in the bottom-most slots with barely 2 cm of clearance with the bottom of the case. I had to use a 16x PCIe riser cable to reach it. 🫣 The cooler is working but she got a little toasty under load. That 2060 isn't as long and would allow me to mount it without all the shenanigans.
I never understood why people buy super high end versions of 50 and 60 series cards anyway. I like to find the smaller ones. I loved my 3070 Twin Edge. It fits anywhere.
@@50shadesofbeige88 After going a completely different route, I found that the 1070 is still more than enough card for what I want to throw at it. I took it out of the Server (where it was being used for Parsec for remote streaming from a VM) and moved it to a case that it also probably has no business being in. (at least it fits w/o the riser cable shenanigans) and now us kids are happy. The PC in the den can play Cities Skylines at 1080p w/o sweating anymore. Of course, now the server has a free PCIe 16x slot again. 🤔
I wonder since it has DVI if it would legacy boot on an older pc. I have a bunch of i7 860 pc's and the newest card they will boot with is Nvidia 10 series and AMD 300 series.
Hi! I just ordered a new RTX 3070 from Veineda. Any recommendentation about how i should test it and compare it to a real RTX 3070 ? I could send you the results and some clips if you want to make a video about it because i see no video about this card on youtube ! Ty :)
I have a hard time believing that this is actually a brand new card, a lot of these unknown Chinese manufacturers would usually go take used gpus from well-known brands such as Colorful and they would just slap their own sticker on there, for example, the picture shown on the ebay listing for the rtx 2060 super shows a colorful i-cafe rtx 2060 super, not a veineda one
I felt the same way too. I've purchased many shady cards. I also do SMD / Microsoldering for work. I can't find any reason to disqualify it as new. It was undoubtedly intended for a different PCB with a different brand name on it.. but there are no signs of a reball, no tool marks, or scratches of any kind on the die, I put acetone on the memory ICs and they had not been resurfaced. I know this is going to sound funny, but it smelled new when I ran Furmark. All my new cards have a particular smell when they get hot for the first few weeks.. reminds me of oven cleaner.
I had a 2060 6GB card I bought for 279 in 2019 sold it in 2022 for 280. For 158 that is a sweet card for a workstation / dual monitors
Nice!

Looks like the rx580 heatsink style similar layout... cool stuff!
I agree. It also looks like one of those knock off Wish GPUs that's actually a GT440.
loved some of your tricks
For only 150 bucks. That's a pretty good deal
It is! I'll send you another email later tonight. I'm releasing your video next Saturday.
Sent you an email.

Yeah, but I bet your 1070 Ti has a better heatsink and VRM 😂 Thanks for the pointers!

True, especially a cheaper one like the 2060KO or a base model like this one.

Can you test it on escape from tarkov?
Also could you do some stress test to check if the simple cooling project affect the temperature?
Sure. I'm actually editing a different GPU video now, so I'll add a segment to the beginning of my next video for the 2060S.

show more about the CPU brother
the background narration should have been a bit better
Nice 😀

If you have any other ideas for how we could test it, please let me know. I'll gladly do it and make a video.
