It's really tiring how obsessed so many are with how much pressure a team feels or doesn't feel. Regardless, competitors should always put more pressure on themselves than anyone from the outside could ever put on them. Outside pressure should be irrelevant.

I would play Stanway at 10 and play Zelum alongside Walsh. Zelem 's is a dead ball specialist and our delivery at corners has been shocking so far . Her passing ability is a strenght also. No coincidence that it was 6 -1 v China when Zelem played.
These press conference are a waste of time. Journalists ask stupid questions most of the time and when they have smart things to ask, the coaches and players respond with stupid things. I never get anything of value from these press conference. I don't know if it's because the players and coaches aren't good speakers or because they don't want to give out much information about their game plan.

She's one of the most successful players in women's football and her struggles with the USWNT have, as you say, improved the general environment of the game for other teams. It's sad that the USWNT's bad luck in this tournament has been hijacked by those who have never even watched a game and are merely seeking to push a political agenda because they are very cross that women have dared to demand more from their own nation. Rapinoe is such a popular figure in the women's game and people seem to have forgotten that she is a human being. If Colombia had been drawn against Sweden, Spain, Australia or pretty much any of the others they would have been knocked out.

Colombia are ranked 28th and no team has ever won the World Cup with such a low ranking. Colombia beat a Germany in poor form -- they wouldn't have a chance against a Germany at full strength. At the end of the day Colombia lost to Morocco who have been thrashed twice at this tournament by Germany and France. That doesn't bode well.
Anything can happen in tournament football, but we'll have to wait and see. Going around acting as if you have already won the World Cup is not very humble or sensible.
